Thanks to the developers Treyarch, Beenox, and Mercenary Technology, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is finally here! Before I get into detail concerning its gameplay, let me start by filling you in on the story:

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place in 2065, 40 years after the events of Black Ops II, in a world facing upheaval from climate change and new technologies. In response to the drone assaults of Black Ops 2, several countries around the world have developed high-tech air defenses that render conventional air forces virtually useless. As such, most of the warfare between countries is done by covert operatives fighting behind enemy lines. Military technology has progressed to the point where robotics play a major role in combat, and both fully robotic humanoid drones and cyborg supersoldiers have been developed to fight in the battlefield. As a result, there is speculation and fear about an eventual robotic takeover."

Before completing Black Ops 3 last night, I must say my expectations were somewhat low as I pressed 'START' on my PS4 controller. However, I immediately found myself ecstatic over the new gender options in character selection! And by that, I mean you can finally have the option of being male or female in the futuristic military game. Customizing isn't quite available yet, but there are wardrobe options for your virtual buddy. As a girl who's played the Call of Duty franchise since Day 1, the fact I can finally play as my own gender has left me extremely happy, even giddy inside. Gone are the days of constant questioning, when guys online would wonder if I'm a twelve year old boy due to my voice, even though my PS4 username is clearly my name (@Steffie_LA).

After reading the storyline to Black Ops 3 I already knew what most people would be thinking, "Ok, it's clearly a futuristic COD game. Please don't suck like Ghosts online and Advanced Warfare!" But in my head I thought, "WHO CARES?! They're bringing back Zombies finally!" And let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen, Zombies in BO3 don't disappoint! There are new power ups you can purchase at the gumball machine for your character along with witches and other crazy things in the "Shadows of Evil" map. It's so intense, you even transform into a Beast a few times and meet a fellow character with a similar transformation! But that's all I'll say before I completely spoil it for you.

After finally being able to play the futuristic Black Ops game, I was thoroughly impressed and recommend both old gamers and COD haters to come back and play this game! Previous disappointment should simply not factor in with this new, brilliant game. There are a lot of features to keep up with (like power boost, for example), but once you get your team going with your favorite online players, you'll be hooked. The game is good enough to convert you into an introvert and make you miss out on sunlight for months. It took me about an hour just trying to make an emblem for Zombies, an hour that was so satisfying I don't even regret the length. People get pretty creative on there, but I won't go into detail cause some aren't appropriate to mention, and there's way too many classic characters that some have brought to life. Trust me, you're not going to want to miss any of this. Take it from me, a former COD "hater" (that's what the kids are saying these days, right?).
