If there's one thing Sarah Wayne Callies knows about, it's zombies. In fact, she could probably lecture on it, having starred in The Walking Dead for three seasons and now horror flick The Other Side Of The Door, which is also about the undead.

Callies takes on the leading role as Maria, a mother who struggles to come to terms with her son's tragic and sudden death. She learns of an ancient ritual which will give her the chance to speak to her son beyond the grave and say goodbye, one last time.

When visiting an ancient temple to speak to her son, she's given one instruction - don't open the door. What does she do? She opens the door. The walking dead then perform their own prison break and enter the world of the living, causing all sorts of havoc, such as playing the piano (as you can see in the trailer below) and attempting to start spontaneous games of hide and seek.

The movie will be directed by 39-year-old Johannes Roberts, who has previously worked on movies such as Storage 24 (2012), F (2010) and Hellbreeder (2004). I'll give you a clue - they were horrors too. And you were thinking Hellbreeder was a Rom-Com!

Jeremy Sisto will play Maria's husband, Michael. Jeremy has featured heavily in acclaimed TV dramas Six Feet Under, Law & Order and sitcom Suburgatory. His film credits include Thirteen (2003) and Wrong Turn (2003). See the trailer for The Other Side of the Door below:

If the trailer is anything to go by, the film will be very scary.
