So... for those of you that have not seen the latest installment of The Hunger Games movie series... Be warned... SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
I have to say that I loved the movies and did plan on reading the books until I saw the anti-climatic ending in the theater. It was in my opinion one of the worst endings ever.
For those of you who have seen this emasculating weak willed attempt at an ending (which I would have been much happier if they ended the story with the arrow being shot into the chest of the new President) Did any of you understand this "They lived happily ever after" ending? This sitting in a meadow with Peeta playing with their toddler and Katniss holding their baby... and THATS IT!?!?! Are you kidding me?
They spent millions perhaps billions of dollars bringing this action packed "Trilogy" to the big screen (And from what I have heard and researched the books share the same lackluster conclusion) only to have it end on a mushy Disney-esque ending that seemed to be something out of a chick flick such as Silver Linings Playbook. It was by far the most disappointing ending I have ever seen in any movie ever in my entire 40 years on this planet. If I would have known this was the type of unorthodox ended they had planned... I would have waited for it to come to Netflix and spared myself the price of the movie ticket and just gone to see The Martian with Matt Damon at the dollar theater down the street.
