Starting of the holiday movie scene is a film, reminiscent of "It's a Wonderful Life (1946), about a family who think this will be the worst Christmas ever, only to be proven wrong many times over. The film stars John Goodman as Sam, and Diane Keaton as Charlotte, the head of the Cooper clan who are determined to make this a wonderful Christmas for their children, and grandchildren. The film is filled with both drama, and comedy, the two most common themes in Christmas films, something that anyone can relate to during the upcoming Christmas season. This is another multi-story, all-star cast, film that has been trending on and off since the 90's, and for the most part they did a really good job. It's not the best Christmas movie ever made, but it is entertaining, funny, and has a number of heart-felt moments that catches the audience off guard. Almost none of the themes in the film are original, which was a bit disappointing, but some of the stories were well intermixed with each other, which keeps the audience interested. Good film to start the holiday season, recommended to those looking for Christmas film over the holidays.
