Mike's Horror Den

I stumbled on this 2013 After Dark fim while scrolling through my local Redbox. Right off the bat I didn't expext much from this film. It reminded me a lot of Ghost Encounters. This film has a similar plot, a group of paranormal investigators enter an insane asylum. In trying to find proof of the supernatural, these friends find more than they bargained for.

The group's main focus is a previous patient who left his room one night, went into the children's ward, and began murdering the children. He returned to his room and hung himself. The group begins setting up cameras throughout the hospital, like all of these films do. As you can imagine, little by little things begin taking a dark turn for the group.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed this film more than Ghost Encounters. This film didn't show too much of the spirits, but it worked so well. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. The scares were done well, even though some were the usual jump scares. I really recommend this movie. If you get a chance to see let me know what you think. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
