The long since talked about Ghost in the Shell live action movie is still over a year away from hitting cinemas, leaving fans desperate for any cyberterrorist-related content to tide them over until 2017. Well, in true futurist fashion, we might just have the perfect technologically advanced fix to fill that Motoko Kusanagi shaped hole in your life.
It's called the Virtual Reality Diver and is, as the name suggests, a unique VR experience putting you inside key Ghost in the Shell scenes. The guided on-rails tour is being designed for smartphone VR goggles, such as Samsung’s Gear and Google's Cardboard, and has a tentative '2016' release date. To get an idea of what it will be like, you can check out an interactive teaser right now, which lets you shift perspective using the arrows in the top left hand of the screen. Dive in below!
Pretty nifty, huh?
The experience is said to let viewers "Cybernetically hack into the universe of Ghost in the Shell and experience new sensations." Sensations like...
Revolving around a half-built robot lady...
...and entering directly into her iris
If that sounds like futuristic fun to you, be sure to keep an eye out for its release next year.
