Terminator (1984) was probably one of the greatest films of all the 1980s and was highly popular. It had an edge of thrilling, suspenseful details and those horrifying minutes that touched every watcher in the world.

Terminator was gradually followed by the all-successful and highly-claimed best film of the franchise, Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991).

What failed the franchise was its two lukewarm sequels, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), and Terminator: Salvation (2009), which failed to contain the excitement of the first two. They're hardly even deemed part of Terminator canon, even James Cameron thinks so.

Then a few months ago Terminator Genisys was released, highly contradicting its two predecessors, which gained a large amount of money but was given mixed reviews.

Talk has grown highly, I know, for a Terminator reboot, and I so think it's time one was made. Although some prefer Dwayne Johnson as the infamous T-800, I believe in Benedict Cumberbatch.

Dwayne Johnson as Terminator; a complete no-no.
Dwayne Johnson as Terminator; a complete no-no.

Say no to Dwayne Johnson. I believe Cumberbatch could make his own, unique version of the Terminator whilst continuing an equally intriguing similarity to the previous Arnie version.

By no means am I saying that Terminator, or Terminator 2: Judgement Day are bad films, or Arnold's acting, I just believe it's time for something new. After all, it is Hollywood. Remakes or hot now.

Yes you, Benedict, yes you.
Yes you, Benedict, yes you.
