The Story:

Kara flies around National City when she hears to men crashing into each other on the road. She saves a group of kids from being run over and is confronted by one of the men who is mad that she damaged his car. He tries to hit her, but she ends up injuring the man in a fit of rage, scaring all the people around them. Hank scolds her back the base and tells her to control her anger before it gets the best of her. Maxwell Lord goes onto the news and says that there needs to be regulations placed on aliens like Supergirl. While they are having lunch Lucy tells Jimmy that her father is coming to town, much to his dismay. Kara shows up to pick up some food and asks Jimmy what is wrong. He tells her that he and General Lane do not get along due to his friendship with Superman. He also says that he had invited Lucy to their weekly game night. Cat's mother Katherine shows up and it is evident why Cat acts the way she does. Alex shows up and tells Kara that she came to ask Winn for help. They ask him to hack into the DEO mainframe to find our more about Jeremiah's disappearance. After he gets agrees to help, the sisters get a call from Hank, who tells them to meet them at the base. General Lane introduces himself and Lucy shows up as well. He demands that Supergirl work with him and his men to test out a cyborg made by Dr. Morrow. It was designed to combat the aliens coming from Fort Rozz, even though T.O. morrow doesn't agree with what it was being used for. He then introduces Red Tornado to everyone. Lucy shows an instant dislike for Supergirl and taunts her that she is not up to the challenge. After receiving a verbal beat down from her mother, Cat yells at Kara and has her work late. Later at game night, Lucy tells them about her encounter with Supergirl and how unimpressed she was of her. Jimmy does not defend her which makes Kara upset. The next day Kara, still upset over Cat's demands to stay late, begins her training with Red Tornado. With T.O. controlling Red Tornado, Kara is giving it her all to the breaking point, until Morrow stops the project when it starts to experience damage and Kara (who continues to fight with the cyborg) is unaware she was told by Hank to stand down, causing Red Tornado to become unstable and then it takes off. Sam immediately blames Supergirl for unleashing Red Tornado onto the city, and has Morrow fired as he orders the DEO to destroy the cyborg on sight. Later on at CatCo, Cat is furious over Kara's whereabouts, and when Kara does show up Cat snaps at her and Kara yells at her to stop. Cat stares at Kara only to tell her that they're going somewhere, which is to have drinks together. Cat tells Kara she wasn't trying to be mad at her but tells Kara to find out who she's mad at. Over at Lord Technologies, Alex asks Maxwell for help in tracking down Red Tornado, but he turns her down. During dinner, Sam tells James he is not good for Lucy. Red Tornado arrives to attack the Lanes, and James uses his watch to alert Kara, who immediately shows up to stop it, only to have the cyborg to create a tornado which Supergirl is able to stop. Sam is blaming Kara and the DEO for allowing Red Tornado to get away, only to have Hank tell Sam that the cyborg was designed to destroy Kryptonians instead of terrorists. Alex and Maxwell get together as the two know what it feels like to lose parents, then come across information about Red Tornado that reveals the cyborg is being controlled by Morrow. Meanwhile, Kara and James set up a punching bag for him and a car for her, as Kara takes out her anger about being a alien and not fitting in.. Alex then calls Kara to inform her that she found a way to draw Red Tornado's attention by using a hologram of Sam with Kryptonian crystals. Alex also discover that Morrow is using telepathy to control the cyborg, and the only way to stop Morrow is to remove it or kill him, while at the same time the cyborg shows up to attack Kara. After a struggle, Alex is left with no choice but take out Morrow, but Red Tornado has gone sentient and proves to be unstoppable. Kara is pushed to her limits until her anger is unleashed, destroying the cyborg. The following day, Lucy informs tells her father she resigns and that she is staying with James much to his dismay. At Kara's apartment, Winn reveals to Kara and Alex that they found information on their father's death: While he and Hank went to South America to apprehend an alien, both went missing and were presumed dead until the other agent mysteriously showed up with no memory of the event. The agent was Hank, who had deleted and redacted information from their father's files. Winn tells Alex to be careful. She is more suspicious of Hank than ever (as Hank's eyes starts glowing back at the DEO). Cat is nursing a hangover when Katherine starts yelling at Kara for not getting her car. Cat snaps back, saying that she doesn’t get to talk to Kara that way. Katherine excuses herself, and both Kara and Cat feel much better. Cat drops a glass, and Kara cuts her finger on it, surprising herself and feeling human.

The Action:

As long as there is heat vision and some display of super strength being used, we'll be happy. Kara unleashed some intense power this episode and I hope that the show continues to do that. Here are some notable sequences.

New Characters/Cameos:

General Lane: Lucy Lane's military father who is pretty much hated by everyone this episode. I'm sure the feelings were mutual for him. He distrusts aliens like Kara and blames everyone, but himself for everything that happened this episode.

Katherine Grant: Cat's stuck up mother who does nothing but belittle everyone around her, especially her daughter. She makes Cat look like a saint.

Dr. T.O. Morrow: The creator of Red Tornado, who rejects how his project is being treated by General Lane and the government.

Red Tornado: He wasn't exactly the villain and neither was his creator. He did prove to be one tough son of a gun though. Nearly choking out Kara until she finally unleashes her real power.

Character Interactions:

Kara and Hank- We may have gotten use to him yelling at her these past few episode, but he actually stood up for her after General Lane insulted her.

Kara and General Lane- Even after she saved his ass he was still talking trash. I get it, he's a military man, but he was a dickhead.

Kara and Alex- Alex yet again comes to the rescue and saves her sister from going down a destructive path. They also continue to work together to find out what happened Jeremiah.

Kara and Winn- I really hope that Winn doesn't give up on her and that she finally opens her eyes to sees all that he's done for her. We will not stop until these two become and item.

Kara and Jimmy- She vented to him about not being able to fit in and he did not even defend her from Lucy's harsh words. That's cool because she can run into Winn's arms. Keep it up Jimmy.

Kara and Cat- Kara put Cat in her place this episode and seemed to impress her with that. Kara immediately felt after, but she and Cat ended up bonding after. She even stood up for Kara when her mom was yelling at her.

Kara and Lucy- She may be friendly to Kara, but it's a whole different thing with Supergirl. This photo pretty much sums it all up. She did change her tune a bit towards the end of the episode after Kara saved her and learning what her father had done.

Alex and Lord- I knew there was something going on there. It will only be a matter of time until this romance blossoms and complicates a whole lot of things.

Jimmy and Lucy- The only seemingly solid relationship on this show. Good for them, hopefully Kara can move on now. This should be Kara and Winn.

Jimmy and General Lane- There was a lot of bad blood between the two and I commend Jimmy for standing his ground. Even with the insults he didn't give up any info on Superman and Supergirl.

Hank and General Lane- The two butted heads the whole time, but found common ground yelling at Kara. Hank then tells General Lane to shut up and thank Kara for saving their lives.

General Lane and Lucy- He cares about his daughter a lot and we see that. She even followed in his foot steps, up until the end. It must suck to have everyone hate you and for your daughter to choose her boyfriend over you huh.

General Lane and T.O. Morrow- Another good guy turned bad guy due to an arrogant General Lane. T.O. Morrow seemed like someone who wanted to use his work to help people, but was forced to turn because of General Lane. Poor guy.

Easter Eggs:

The Watch- We've already seen it before, but he actually called Kara with it this time.

Nano-Tech- Look at the colors next to the head line. What hero sports red and blue and dabbles in nano-tech. Flash/Arrow/Supergirl crossover one day. We can all hope. Word is that there is something in the works.

Super Soda- Not too big of an Easter egg, but we will call it out anyways. Why not.

What's To Come/Theories:

Hank was the last one to see Jeremy alive, that much is certain. Whether or not foul play was involved, we will have to see. Hank sort of showed us this episode that he got a good side, but then again he goes back to being shady. Maxwell Lord is working on something and it looks like he might have gotten an idea after seeing Red Tornadoes arm. We saw that Morrow was shot, but we did not see where the body went. It also looked like he was working on another android which I'm sure the DEO has seized.

Final Thoughts:

Now that we have more of a story building up with Hank, I think that having the villain of the week deal is okay. They could still do without all the flight implemented in her fighting, but they did okay this episode. Effects were on point and I really like how Kara let out all of her anger showing us how destructive she can be. What did you think about this episode? Leave it in the comments below, we'd love to read them!
