Sandra Bullock has a new addition to her expanding family! The 51-year-old actress has finalized the adoption of 3-year-old Laila, who had previously been under her foster care.
The Oscar winning actress adopted her son, Louis, in 2010. The news will be welcomed by the 5-year-old who has already formed a "close bond" with his new sister. Bullock has "no doubt" about the decision to make her care of Laila permanent. She said:
“When I look at Laila, there’s no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here.
“I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.”
"I knew she was scared"
It was previously suggested in October than Bullock had adopted a new child, although this was kept under wraps due to fears that public exposure may have jeopardized the process.
The Blind Side star offered plenty of reassurance to the toddler from Louisiana when integrating her into her family. She said:
“I knew she was scared, and all I wanted was for her to know Louis and I weren’t going anywhere.”
The new mother of two publicly announced her relationship with photographer Bryan Randall, 49, in August.
Our Brand Is Crisis
Her most recent movie, Our Brand Is Crisis, opened on October 30th and performed poorly at the box office, grossing just $3.2 million; the lowest performing opening in Bullock's career. You can see the trailer above.
