We all remember Bernard Aranguren—better known as "Beans"—from Disney Channel's Even Stevens, right? The Stevens's annoying young neighbor loved bacon and making himself far too comfortable in houses outside his own. Usually his appearances resulted in a loud, "Go home, Beans!"
He may have been a menace to the Stevens family, but nothing brightened up my day like watching him pop up on screen to wreak some havoc.
In recent years, Steven Anthony Lawrence, who played Beans from 2001 to 2003, has been a topic of Internet "where are they now?" searches. While he's no longer making us laugh as Beans, 25-year-old Lawrence is still finding a way to make his fans smile.
Recently, Lawrence was spotted at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California, working as Santa's helper.
According to the numerous posts on social media, he's spreading holiday cheer and happily posing for pictures with fans of his famous Disney character.
While some might be quick to write this new job off as a case of the after effects of childhood stardom, there might be a different reason entirely.
As Buzzfeed astutely pointed out, the most recent credit on Steven Anthony Lawrence's IMDb page is for the role of Jingles the elf in Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D. Perhaps his working at the mall is research for the upcoming role.
In any case, he's making people smile by taking some genuinely sweet photographs with his fans. If he's happy, we're happy! Now someone please visit him, and bring a giant pack of bacon with you.
