Star Wars fans can be enigmatic to Star Wars newbies. Clueless on how to initiate a conversation? Worry not, here are some ways to impress (and befriend) them!
#1 Greet in Star Wars style
Forget the typical Good Morning, Good Luck and All the Best. Spice up your greetings by adding this super cool phrase from Star Wars!
For the unfamiliar, May the Force Be With You was a phrase used to wish an individual or group good luck or good will, one that expressed the speaker's wish that the Force work in favor of the addressee. The phrase was often used as individuals parted ways or in the face of an impending challenge.
#2 Do the Cosplay
The only way to capture one's attention when in a sea of human is... be eye-catching. If you are too shy for it, wearing a Star Wars tee would do too. Like this one below.
Always remember human are visual creatures.
#3 Make Some Star Wars Inspired Food
The way to a man's (or a woman's) heart is through his stomach. Try to find or make some creative food art. It doesn't have to include high-difficulty recipe and procedures, it can be anything from pancake to bento or even pasta!
Darth Vader and Stormtrooper cupcakes, anyone?
#4 Speak Like Yoda You Can
Talking like Jedi Master Yoda is a fun and easy way to break the ice. His unique style of reversing the words in a sentence are easily recognized by fans around the world!
Here's how to speak like Yoda.
- Take the first two or three words of a sentence, and just add them to the end. For example: 'You will find what you are looking for' turns into 'Find what you are looking for, you will.'
- Rearranging the negative in a sentences works very well. For example: 'I will not help you' turns into 'I will help you not.' Avoiding contractions will help in this -- 'I can't go there' turns into 'Go there, I can not.'
- Adding a 'hmmmm...' at the end of an altered question. For example, 'Do you know what I am talking about?' turns into 'Know what I am talking about, do you? Hmmm...?'
- Adding a 'yes' to an altered statement. For example: 'You are here for my help' turns into 'Here for my help, you are... yes...'
Probably the most amusing but equally effective way in the list. It's no secret that those who can make us laugh is a keeper!
