I've read way too many comics and watched too many movies to function in normal society.

Love Actually is possibly the perfect Christmas Movie. December is barely here and I’m already on my third viewing. The interconnecting stories, each encapsulating different kinds of love, are so charming, and often bitter-sweet. Besides the music, the comedy, and the awesomeness of Hugh Grant’s dance moves, the best part of the movie is definitely the relationships themselves.

John and Judy have the best “How did you guys meet?” story ever. Jamie and Aurelia are timid, yet passionate at the same time. But it’s Sam and Joanna that break my heart each time.

Sam (Thomas Sangster), having recently lost his mother, has fallen for classmate Joanna. Sangster perfectly captures the frustration, fear and desperation of a boy’s first love. I remember the feeling well. (You know who you are, if you’re reading this)

Now, do you remember the girl he falls in love with? Young Joanna (Olivia Olsen), the cute little girl who stole the whole movie with an astonishing musical number? Well, she now has an impressive career all of her own!

Yes, she still sings! Olivia has also established herself as a voice actress. She lends her voice to Phineas and Ferb and Adventure Time.

So here she is. The little girl that sang Mariah Carey's “All I Want for Christmas is You” (better than Mariah did) and won our hearts forever. She's even found her own love.... actually..
