Netflix crime drama, Jessica Jones is one of newest comic book television series to be produced by Marvel Productions and it’s a good one. Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, is a private investigator hired to track a recent kidnapping by a psychopath. His name is Kilgrave. For for years he lived avoiding detection and capture while destroying many innocent lives with great pleasure. Kilgrave, played by David Tennant, controls the will of his victims by voice command and gets anything he wants. Hard to believe, right? But to have the power to control another person at will sounds like pages of a science fiction novel. A gift or curse would be the subject to a vigorous debate. So before you begin training yourself to acquire these Telekinetic powers, let's take a look at these Top 5 “Telekinetic Masters of the Mind” personas we just might want to become.

# 5 The man himself, Professor Charles Xavier. Founder of the X-Men who’s confined to a wheelchair, but has an intellect that blows away most Nobel Prize winners and is the rage at social functions. Not only can Charles pry open the most deepest and darkest secrets of the conscience mind but can warp perception, generate mental illusions and restrain an enemy in their tracks. As a public advocate for Mutant rights, Charles continues to use his powers for the good of humans and mutants alike.

#4 Martian Manhunter. A DC character and founding member of the Justice League. Forced from his home planet Mars, lives on Earth and is better known to friends as John. A powerful telekinetic alien being, with the ability to move objects, mentally locate enemies from great distances as well as manipulate memory, induce sleep and as an added bonus be able to transmit vital information among sentient beings. Like Professor Xavier, uses his powers for good but now, here comes hard core telekinetic villains.

#3 Darth Vader. The man who gives new meaning to Johnny Cash’s song, “Man in Black”. One of the strongest telekinetics who ever lived. Former Jedi turned Sith changed his fundamentals with help of Dark Lord Sidious and his plans for world domination. High doses of midi-chlorians in his blood, allows Darth Vader to use the Force to do his bidding. When not choking the hell out of insubordinates, or blocking shots of pulser fire, his power has a tremendous influence on the weak minded causing the victim open to suggestion.

#2 Jessica Jones, Kilgrave. Surely one of the most powerful adversary a hero can face. His parents, both scientist, performed brutal laboratory experiments on their son to create a virus which allows pheromones in his body causing many to fall under his persuasion for a period of time. While in his control, Kilgrave can request or command any subject to do his bidding and kills them to avoid detection. A certifiable psychopath but has exquisite tastes in the finer things and women, like Jessica Jones.

And the #1 Deadliest telekinetic telepath character(s) is from author John Wyndham’s science fiction book, “ The Midwich Cuckoos, “ later turned into films called, “Children of the Damned.” Residents, from a local village, became unconscious for twenty four hours. Authorities, unable to come within a two mile radius of the town, noticed the town completely covered in a silvery mist powder. Everyone the next day woke up without incident until women from the village became pregnant. All the children were born with white hair and skin and piercing grey eyes. The town soon realized that the children possessed telekinetic powers and were mind-controlling residents to their death if gotten in their way.

So there you have it, my top 5 Telekinetic Masters of the Mind. If there’s a telekinetics out here, please don’t mind-control me! Just drop a suggestion or comment or tell me what you think. Just don’t rip my mind apart, OK?

That’s my story and I am sticking to it. Reporting for MoviePilot,

I am Brian A. Madrid.
