In the light of The Force Awakens, illustrator David Murray decided to dedicate his talents to a Galaxy Far Far Away this Christmas by bringing some of today's newest fashion designs to Star Wars.
Below me are some of Star Wars's most beloved characters with probably the most down to earth depiction of them we're ever going to see.
Star Wars has not only taken over the Internet, but now the runways too!
Darth Vader in Craig Green
Without even having to say it, you can see the clear transition from reality straight into Star Wars. Definitely clothing that you can image a Sith Lord sporting. Vader rocks this outfit incredibly well.
Jar Jar Binks in Yeezy x Adidas Originals
Along with a black Stormtrooper, another controversial figure amongst Star Wars fans is Jar Jar Binks. David has done a great job with matching the colors with each different character, as I also imagine Binks to wear this too! Me sa like!
Stormtrooper in Balenciaga
Even some of the most iconic villains have decided to change up their look! Not the most closely matched photo, but both pictures share the colors and check pattern.
C-3PO in Dries Van Noten
Like most robots, they don't actually have any physical feeling but this doesn't stop our favorite human-cyborg C-3PO from wanting to get cosy. Although 3PO doesn't quite have the jawline the other guy has, he still pulls this look off quite well indeed.
Chewbacca in Hood
Chewy! Definitely one of the weirder fashion statements I've seen, but that still doesn't stop it being drawn! Chewbacca has now taken being a 'walking carpet' to a whole new level.
Darth Maul in Givenchy
Man this is cool! Not only is Darth Maul one of my favorite characters from the Star Wars universe, he now looks the coolest too. Although the design doesn't exactly fit the persona of Maul, it definitely fits his appearance and has a really great Chinese cultural feel to it.
Boba Fett in Astrid Andersen
Boba Fett, back from the dead, taking the fashion industry by storm! Like I mentioned earlier, David has done an excellent job on matching the colors with each character. I feel like I wouldn't complain if Boba showed up in episode 7 wearing this jacket. I might even buy the action figure.
What do you think about these designs? Do they work on our favorite characters? Let me know!
The illustrator David Murray actually has a whole profile of different character designs, just like the ones above. A fellow MoviePilot creator has even covered a selection of Batman related ones below, enjoy!
