At last night's Game Awards, Telltale Games announced two exciting new titles: a Michonne-focused spinoff of their massively popular game series based on The Walking Dead, and an all-new, episodic [Batman](tag:2683667) video game series.
A change from Rocksteady's extremely successful Arkham series of video games, Telltale's style usually focuses on story and decision-making -- and in the dark, horrifying world within Bruce Wayne's mind, the style has massive potential for a hit.
So, what can fans expect? Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games, explained:
At Telltale, weâÂÂve been honored to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and weâÂÂre excited to announce that weâÂÂll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year.
This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.
The first installment of the game is slated for a 2016, and a full teaser is expected to release online later this week.
