Time and time again I dream about becoming best friends with the women I look up to in the industry: Mindy Kaling, Amy Schumer, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Zoe Kravitz, Jennifer Lawrence, and so many others.

For some lucky celebrities, this dream actually became a reality! They somehow made the move from admirer to full-on BFF.

1. Selena Gomez and Jennifer Aniston

Selena discussed her appreciation for Jennifer Aniston, an actress she has looked up to since she was a little girl.

“I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie CAKE, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year."

"We met through my management ’cause they manage her as well… So, it was kind of like a friendly meeting and instantly she’s just inviting me to her house. She has a pizza oven. We’ve made pizzas at her house. She’s very cool and very sweet. She kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice. She’s very sweet.”

2. Demi Lovato and Iggy Izalea

Demi described in a radio interview her first encounter with Iggy:

“I started out as a huge fan [of Iggy]. I don’t like hanging out with people that are ‘Hollywood’… She’s just real as f—k. The first time we hung out, we went to Target and got gingerbread houses to make and we made gingerbread houses. That’s how chill she is.”

3. Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar

Swift opened up to The Hollywood Reporter and mentioned her love for the incredible rapper Kendrick Lamar.

“I really wish I was best friends with Kendrick Lamar, and I’m not, and it makes me sad daily."

And just like that, Lamar was featured on Swift's song "Bad Blood." If only it were that easy for the rest of us.

4. Justin Bieber and Usher

Remember the days when J Biebs was just a little cutie posting videos of him singing on YouTube? Well, Usher swept him up under his wing and now the two are besties.

5. Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber

Hailey's father, Stephen, knew how much of a fan his daughter was of Justin Bieber, so he introduced her on The Today Show in 2009.

The two have since become two peas in a pod and have even been jet-setting to different countries while hanging with the Kardashian-Jenner family.

I guess it just goes to show, if you put yourself out there (and, you know, become a celebrity), making friends with your faves is easy!
