At 'The Game Awards' in L.A last night, Telltale revealed a enigmatic trailer for their next big episodic-title. Batman.

With the reveal of The Walking Dead: Michonne, the continuation of Minecraft: Story Mode and an unnamed Marvel title in the works for 2017; Telltale have been working harder than a speeding mouse in an exercise ball. With the above video, they just increased that speed a lot more.

Last night, at The Game Awards 2015, we were shown a glimpse of their next hit game. An episodic series based around Batman, in conjunction with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment.

Although not much was revealed in the trailer over than a hint of a noir-like Batman with a young Bruce Wayne and a release date of 2016, Telltale themselves had more to say after the trailer aired.

Telltale's CEO & Co-Founder, Kevin Bruner revealed the game will "give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy."

Gamesradar+ were also eagled-eyed and pointed out that the famous Bat symbol, in the above image, is brand new. Seemingly created specifically for this game, coming as an apparent mixture between "the 1966 Batman TV show and Batman Chronicles from 1977". Could this mean that we could be seeing an less modern iteration of Batman in the game? Or could our caped crusader be completely re-designed by Telltale just for this game?

As a whole, Telltale's Batman is all set to be a wonderfully crafted videogame, potentially taking good notes from the right source material.
