In 1938, Orson Welles delivered one of the most infamous radio broadcasts in history; a believable news report that aliens from Mars had invaded Earth. In truth, Welles was actually reading his adapted production of the H.G. Wells novel The War of the Worlds.

But for the folks in small town New Jersey, the radio announcement was VERY real. And the end was nigh, or so it seemed.

That sets the stage for the hilarity that ensues in an exciting new Kickstarter project, Brave New Jersey. Directed by Jody Lambert and starring the always brilliant Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Veep), Brave New Jersey imagines the immediate aftermath of the "War of the Worlds" announcement in a quiet New Jersey town receiving the radio feed.

With a great cast and a recipe for some big laughs, we're rooting to see this one hit it's goal of $50,000 raised by New Year's Eve, 2015.

Check out the Kickstarter page for Brave New Jersey for yourself and let's see what happens when all hell breaks lose in the wake of the alien apocalypse!
