Okay so don't mind me but this is my first actual post after my quiz, so if I seem any bit amateur don't blame the article... Let's begin.

During the whole first season of "The Flash", we see that Dr. Harrison Wells comes into Barry's life for better or worse. As he grows a bond and relationship with Barry it turns out to be for better. However, things with Mr. Wells and Mr. Allen take a very sharp and unexpected turn for the worse in the middle of the season as Joe West suspects Harrison Wells to be something that he claims he is not...

Is he really as supportive to Barry as all think?
Is he really as supportive to Barry as all think?

And besides, even if Doctor Wells does turn out to be the Reverse Flash (and he does) That's not the main part I'm writing about. However things must be explained.

Dr. Wells claims to Barry that he is from the future, 136 years from the present to be precise, and he also tells Barry that he and him are rivals and absolute reverses of each other in his timeline. He claims that he only came to Barry's childhood for one reason... to destroy the Flash. However, I get the feeling that fate and destiny are intervening to make sure that Dr. Wells does not eliminate Barry directly. So, in turn, Harrison Wells/Eubard Thawne travels to Barry's childhood and murders his mother, thus breaking his spirit, and indirectly making sure The Flash never comes to be.

"Mom!!!"
"Mom!!!"

However, after all this is sorted out, Barry ultimately hates Dr. Wells. And Dr. Wells later claims that he still needed Barry's speed... Why? Apparently he lost all of his ability to use the Speed Force after killing Barry's mother, Nora.(As seen above) However, how does that explain his ability to still move ten times faster than Barry? That, ladies and gentlemen, would be explained only by Wells' "Tachyon Amplifier"...

"Show me the future, Gideon."
"Show me the future, Gideon."

It takes the Tachyons of the Speed Force and amplifies them almost making them accelerate and thus multiply, something like the Particle Accelerator, only ten times smaller and more badass. He needs this device to fight Barry, show that he is faster, and thus Barry begins his quest to become faster. And this is exactly what Harrison has wanted this whole time is for Mr. Allen to become fast enough to create a wormhole so that Wells can return to his own timeline. The only thing that has stopped him is patience; He needed to train Barry first before he revealed his true plan.

This is all unfolded in the end of season one, when Barry does become fast enough to go up to speeds of at least Mach 2. That's pretty damn fast. So let's fast forward two episodes, where Barry comes out of the wormhole he created and he hasn't saved his mom. Wells doesn't like that. He starts to attack Barry. And before Barry comes out of the wormhole, a tin helmet with lightning bolts on either side is spit out of said wormhole.

As a child, I have loved comics, and I still do. As a child, I would love watching cartoons and I saw one that depicted an old-lfashioned Flash wearing jeans, a long sleeve red shirt and with that very same metal helmet. So, does that mean we will see some sort of hero reconnection as Barry sees himself again? Will Mr. Allen run so fast he travels back to a time when the costume hadn't come around? Or will he travel ahead so far to where the costume is out of style?
