This is not a drill! HBO has finally released fresh footage from Game of Thrones Season 6.

The new season is fast approaching and HBO recently started bewitching us with some promo material. First we got a poster of Jon Snow and then we got a teaser narrated by Bran showing some clips from previous seasons. And now we have this! A few hours ago HBO tweeted their Yearender video, and it includes not one, not two, but THREE clips from the upcoming season!

It starts out with the Mother of Dragons looking all scruffy, then we see Ramsay Bolton riding a horse, and then it ends with Cersei giving a motherly hug to her last surviving child.

So let's go through them and figure out what's happening here. If you'd rather not speculate, please stop reading at this point.

In the clip we see Daenerys in Dothraki-land, and she is still wearing the same dress as she was at the end of Season 5.

So Dany hasn't had time to change, and her hair is more or less the same, just a bit messier. This probably means the clip is from very early in the season, even as early as the first episode.

Here we see Ramsay Bolton on a horse with the Bolton banner flying in the wind behind him. (It's okay if you feel like punching something. He evokes that feeling in us all.) This footage is seemingly innocent at first, but if we take a quote by G.R.R. Martin into account, it becomes much more interesting. The show has pretty much caught up with the books by now, so what we will be seeing in Season 6 is mostly what we will be reading in Winds of Winter. In an interview, Martin said that the Winds of Winter will have quite an epic beginning.

"I think we’re gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles."

These two enormous battles are believed to be the battle of Mereen in Essos and the battle for the North in Westeros. Ramsay Bolton is very much in the North, and he's probably not very popular there after his family killed the very popular Robb Stark. So could this footage be from a big battle in the North? Could we be seeing Jon Snow fighting Ramsay? Where's Sansa in all this? I need to know!

Here we see Cersei, who is still sporting that pixie cut, hugging her last surviving child, Tommen. It appears as if the two are wearing black, which makes me think they are mourning the death of Myrcella. It will be interesting to see what's going to happen to these two, as Cersei still has to face the trial for her sins. Will the Lannister bastards finally be de-throned? Who will take over the crown?

It's safe to say that Season 6 will be incredibly exciting, and if we are to believe actress Emilia Clark, it's going to be more epic than ever before:

I’ve said this before, but there’s a lot of seasons where you need to (rightly so) kind of need to set the scene. And you have a couple of episodes where you’re like, 'OK, feeding information, I get it. We’re finding out about this person. And we know about that person. And oh, there’s that person.' But this season coming up, that we’re about to film, there’s none of that. It’s just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It’s mental; it’s epic."

April needs to hurry up, I need my fix!

And while you're at it, check out the first teaser we got earlier last week:
