After the incredible success of Disney's live action fairy tales, in the past few years, which includes 2010's "Alice in Wonderland", 2014's ''Maleficent", and 2015's "Cinderella".
And with the waiting anticipation for the upcoming films, "The Jungle Book", "Alice through the Looking Glass", "Beauty and the Beast", and, "The BFG", or "The Big Friendly Giant", let's cast for the Disney's live action Snow White. NOTE: This is not the official cast list for the film, nor has it been annouced, but let's just have a little bit of fun with this shall we.
According to the online site, "Screenrant.com", Disney was developing a live action fairy tale film project called, "Order of the Seven", back in 2012, but, was soon cancelled. The project was initiated by producer Andrew Gunn and was originally meant to be, as Heat Vision puts it, “a live-action kung fu take” on Snow White. That plan changed over the years as the script eventually evolved into a standalone fantasy adventure, after being worked on by such people as Michael Chabon (John Carter), Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine), Hangover co-writing duo Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, Jayson Rothwell (Second in Command), newcomer Michael DeBruyn – and, Iron Man co-writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby.
Order of the Seven had originally been envisioned as a Natalie Portman vehicle. Within the year, Oscar-nominee Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, Hanna) was set to headline the film as a young 19th century Englishwoman who flees Hong Kong, in order to escape “an ancient evil empress” – and, thereafter, seeks refuge with “seven men belonging to an ancient order dedicated to fighting demons and dragons” (as was to be played by an all-star cast of international martial arts sensations). Although Order of the Seven had technically not been greenlit, the film was slated to begin production in the summer of 2012 – under visual effects supervisor Michael Gracey’s direction. Disney has halted all development work on the project, due to concerns over the budget (which is being kept under wraps).
It was reported in October 2015, Disney set release dates for four more live action fairy fairy tale films and two more animated films. As confirmed by the studio today, Disney has reserved December 22, 2017, November 2, 2018, March 29, 2019, and November 8, 2019 for four live-action fairy tales. The studio has not yet confirmed the titles of any of these films. They also have another untitled animated film coming on November 25, 2020, along with a previously announced untitled movie on November 21, 2018. Disney has claimed April 12, 2019 for an unnamed Disneytoon Studios film. Disney has several live-action fairy tales currently in various stages of development. Those include Dumbo directed by Tim Burton, Pinocchio written by Peter Hedges, Mulan written by Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek, Sword in the Stone written by Brian Cogman, Winnie the Pooh written by Alex Perry, and spinoff films about Tinker Bell, Prince Charming, and Genies, which could potentially set up a new Aladdin. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", released in December 21, 1937, based The Brother Grimm fairy tale, "Schneewittchen", made $418 million and it is one of the top ten performers at the North American box office. At the 11th Academy Awards, the film won an Academy Honorary Award for Walt Disney "as a significant screen innovation which has charmed millions and pioneered a great new entertainment field". It could be possibly that the December 22, 2017 release date, could be for the live action Snow White film, that the studio could be keeping under wraps. But, for now, only time will tell. So, if the film where to be developed, who could be in the cast?
Selena Gomez - Snow White
Selena Gomez is an amazing actress, singer, executive producer, fashion designer, and philanthropist with a Disney background starring in Disney Channel's 2007 televison show "Wizards of Waverly Place," and now starring alongside Seth Rogan, Zac Efron, and Dave Franco, in the Neighbors film sequel, "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising", she is a sweetheart with an incredible angelic voice,
who could be a great Snow White.
Julianne Moore - Queen Grimhilde, or The Evil Queen
Julianne Moore is an actress and children's author. Moore has received five Academy Award nominations, eight Golden Globe nominations, seven SAG nominations, and four BAFTA nominations. She has starred in tons films, such as, The Fugitive(1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park(1997), Boogie Nights(1997), The Big Lebowski(1998), Psycho(1998), Hannibal(2001), Carrie(2013), Still Alice(2014), and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1(2014) & The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2(2015). Brad Pitt - Snow White's father, or The King
Brad Pitt is just.... awesome! Actor and producer, He has received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and three Academy Award nominations in acting categories, and received two further Academy Award nominations, winning one, as producer under his own company Plan B Entertainment. Snow White's father is differently important in the fairy tale, cause her married someone who he wasn't aware of being evil, sinster, and abusive. So, we could get an intense, powerful, and emotional performance from Mr. Pitt.
Jeremy Irvine - Prince Ferdinand, or The Prince
Seriously? Came on, he's dashing.
Tom Hardy - Humbert The Huntsman
He fits the description, of a total badass.
Sandra Bullock - Snow White's mother, or The Good Queen
I mean, why not? She's a talented actress and is very giving and loving.
Jake Short - Dopey
Ryan Ochoa - Bashful
Rupert Grint - Sneezy
Robert De Niro - Grumpy
Paul Giamatti - Doc
Steve Buscemi - Sleepy
Daniel Radcliffe - Happy
The production/filming location
Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England. This place is the stomping ground for production for films, such as, Superman, Harry Potter, James Bond, and Star Wars.
Other filming locations
This is truely beautiful backdrop for a filming location.
The city of Segovia would make an enjoyful backdrop for the village.
The Guadarrama Mountains in Segovia, Spain would serve as the perfect spot for the Dark Forset.
So... what do you think of the cast? I believe it could be one the most beautiful and most romantic live action fairy tale films. Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Ian McKellen, and Josh Gad, hits theaters, Friday. March 17, 2017 in 3D, and it could be the opening gateway into jaw-dropping visually spectacular masterpieces with a great story and great actors and actresses bringing beloved characters to life to the big screen.
