The latest episode of Supergirl just dropped tonight and, wow! I was watching the latest episode with my dad and we were talking about how Supergirl needs to step it up a notch. Right as I said that, Hank is giving Alex a speech that he is not the villain and I was thinking to myself how that is a lie. Then, it actually happened, Hank Henshaw is not a villain but the Martian Manhunter, A.K.A. J'Onn J'Onnz.

Who is Martian Manhunter?

Martian Manhunter is one of the main Justice League members and DC characters in general, even more than Supergirl herself. He is actually the Justice League's longest running member as being included in every edition of the Justice League up to the early 2000's. We were all disappointed to see the Green Arrow and the Martian Manhunter not be included in the DC movies, but we now know it's because they have big plans for our favorite martian on TV.

Similar to the show, Martian Manhunter was a citizen of Mars when its race was wiped out completely except for J'Onnz. He was then spirited to Earth and uses his powers and alien abilities to fight for good.

He looks great!
He looks great!

What Does This Mean For Supergirl?

Well, the mid season finale for the show is next week, where Alura Zor-El is capturing Supergirl. She is more powerful than Supergirl and they hint that Supegirl only has herself. What could happen is that Supergirl and Alura fight it out and Supergirl is being beaten. As Alex and Henshaw watch the fight at the DEO headquarters, Alex convinces Henshaw to go out and fight. We will see Martian Manhunter in action.

The Further Expansion of the Justice League

If we are talking Justice League members, we have the Green Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, Red Tornado, Black Canary, and a few others which are coming including Superman. Also, we are being hit over the head with Green Lantern easter eggs, it's only a matter of time before we see the Lantern on Arrow. There is no confirmed crossover between the shows yet, but they are definitely planning on it. Since Martian Manhunter is such a huge character, this is probably setting up a show solely for him. He will probably be teaming up with Supergirl for the rest of the season, hopefully.

This is SPECTACULAR news but what do YOU guys have to say about this? Tell me below!
