For kids, Santa Claus is probably the best part of Christmas. He is kind, jolly, has a silver beard, and gives out presents.
One such Santa should be nominated as "Claus of the Year," as he made one particular girl's Christmas the best ever. Specifically, I'm talking about the Santa at the Cleveland Centre in Middlesbrough, England.
This little girl sat shyly on Santa's lap as the mother warned Santa that she wasn't able to speak so well. She also disclosed that she was deaf.
Santa stepped up his jolly game and began communicating with the girl by sign language. Just look how that sweet little girl beams up like a Christmas light!
I know I'm not the only one who finds this clip reminiscent of the scene in Miracle on 34th Street when Santa sings to a little girl in Dutch as she doesn't know how to speak any English.
Oh, how my heart melts!
For all you kind Santas out there, thanks for continuing to brighten the lives of children everywhere. There's nothing like spreading that infectious Christmas spirit.
