By now, you've surely seen this little trailer:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just dropped its first official trailer last night, and man did it drop! Casey Jones, the Party Van, Bebop, Rocksteady... my inner child is screaming "COWABUNGA!"

Stephen Amell looks awesome as our purse-grabbing puke hockey sticking vigilante

Bebop and Rocksteady are pretty freakin' awesome looking too

(At least they're not THESE guys)

And the Party Wagon!

It shoots

Better than pizzas, for sure!

And the Foot Clan!

Pretty sure that's The Foot, anyway

no really, wth does 519 mean?
no really, wth does 519 mean?

But the real thang here... is Krang!

Or, at least the absence of him in the trailer. Two major things point to him being the film's as-yet-to-be-seen BIG villain.

One, all this wormhole hooplah

This is almost certainly Dimension X stuff!

The second reason is, the trailer never really shows us a mega-villain

The first film had The Shredder

And apparently, according to the casting, William Fichtner is back as Eric Sacks, and Brian Tee is playing The Shredder. The first time around, having Shredder as the main baddy was fine. But twice? Not happening. The sequel needs a bad guy. Baxter Stockman (nerdgasm at that name!) definitely isn't going to be him.

And The Shredder (Brian Tee, without his mask) can't do it again

He got his butt handed to him in the first movie

Bebop and Rocksteady are created by Baxter, under orders from Shredhead, so who does that leave? The Main Brain! Obviously, the filmmakers aren't going to go and show us what he looks like yet, but with a release date of June 3, 2016, and a Batman v Superman movie coming up (even though Nickelodeon isn't making BvS), we may get a look at him before the movie!

On a side note, go to the TMNT2 IMDB page and you'll see the original April O'Neil, Judith Hoag, is appearing in the movie as... someone!
