The first trailer for Bryan Singer's highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse has landed on line and teases the end of days for human and mutant kind.
Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) plays En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse, the first mutant in existence. Since the dawn of civilization he was worshiped as a god by mankind. After thousands of years, Apocalypse has awoken and he's unhappy with the world around him. He recruits four powerful mutants; Magneto (Michael Fassbender, Steve Jobs), Psylocke (Olivia Munn, Magic Mike), Angel (Ben Hardy, Eastenders) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp, Straight Outta Compton) to be his four horsemen to build a new world. As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence, Joy) and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy, Victor Frankenstein) must lead the X-Men in a battle against the biggest threat mankind has ever witnessed.
X-Men: Apocalypse is one of my most anticipated films of 2016. I think Matthew Vaughn really put the X-Men back on track in 2011 with First Class and original X-Men director Bryan Singer did a miraculous job with Days Of Future Past and Apocalypse looks to be an equally as thrilling adventure. My big problem with the first trailer for Apocalypse is the CGI, I wasn't impressed by any of the visuals shown, but the film only releases in May so there is time for them to be improved upon.
The cast is fantastic, and the story looks intriguing, but let me know what you thought of the first trailer in the comments or on Twitter @JamesPorter97
