Sometimes I play video games.

I spent hours of my youth playing rollercoaster god, looking down from the sky, surveying my theme park and wondering whether the minuscule human pixels on the ground were enjoying their day out. Turns out, it must have been a truly horrific experience for all those poor park-goers.

As any budding amusement mogul will tell you, a game of Rollercoaster Tycoon doesn't always pan out as expected. Emergency toilet cubicles have to be hastily added to every corner, patrons become exasperated with the long lines, and rides often become half-finished, under-budget death traps. This video virtuoso behind AndrewMFilms has spliced real life footage together with special effects to create a scarily accurate depiction of a day out inside Rollercoaster Tycoon. Enjoy!

What a pleasant day in Happy Fun Land!

Oh hey, some handy benches appeared from out of the ether...

Time to ride this steel colossus!

Clean up to the merry-go-round

Wait, no, no NO!

Quick! Build, build now -- oh sweet Jesus!

And I'm just going to slowly back away from this mess...
