Have you ever wondered about the future of the franchise while playing Grand Theft Auto 5? Have you ever been playing it and suddenly thought, "Why can't I do that?" or "Why isn't this a feature?" It can be a rarity when first engaging with Rockstar's products, but now that GTA V has been out for over 2 years, we've all had time to reflect.

How do you think they're going to raise the bar? What'll make GTA 6 the ultimate Grand Theft Auto game? Let's take a look at 5 features that fans have discussed in relation to GTA 6 and whether they'd be appropriate for one of the most popular franchises in the world.

5 Features We Want in GTA 6

If you agree/disagree with any of these updates, we'd love to hear from you in the comments below! After all, Rockstar's fans often shape the future of their franchises.

Maybe The Map Doesn't Need To Be Bigger

Personally, when we look at the size of GTA 5's map, we feel content. There's so much to do in this city and countless missions to happen upon while on your journey around San Andreas. Therefore, what if GTA 6's map wasn't bigger, but denser. What if we could venture inside every single building in the next game, and skyscrapers could be accessed on every level. We could take a lift up to the highest office and walk into the manager's office, claiming it for ourselves. It'd be awesome!

Character & Lifestyle Improvements

Grand Theft Auto

We'd love to see our characters develop over the course of the game. For instance, we could see them put on weight, or become more fit if we engage in sports, or even age. We had stats that performed this function in GTA V, but if this was represented physically, it'd be amazing! Additionally, we'd love to see relationships in the game. We could date others, maybe even get married and start a family. Fans basically want GTA 6 to become their new life :P

What if cars eventually ran out of gas? What if we had to access gas stations in order to top them up? And what if we had realistic damage physics? We could see building walls break if we crash into them, we could scars and cuts form on our character until we die, and maybe even collapse certain structures (which would respawn after we die). It would contribute to the sense of destruction if a helicopter could shoot holes in the concrete while it pursued us! Agree or disagree?

Music That Can Rival Vice City

Grand Theft Auto
Grand Theft Auto

One thing that's disappointed me about Grand Theft Auto games since the release of Vice City, is its music. GTA 5 has some hilarious radio station shows, but there's still a lot of music that fails to inspire us the way that the 80s soundtrack of Vice City did. Can we get back to this level of quality, please?

Impact On the Narrative

We're seeing this becoming a trend in gaming where it was never present before. Players love to feel like they're making a singular impact on the game's narrative because of the way that they've played it. GTA 5 has a really weak ending, and the choice that you're given at the end feels thrown in. We'd love to see more options in the game's narrative that ultimately put is down varying paths. This way, we'd all have very different GTA stories to tell.

But what about you guys? Are there any other features you'd like Rockstar to include in GTA 6? If so, let us know in the comments!
