This is a listing of the top 10 Avengers, and not just in my opinion. I had some help from friends as well.. This list is going from the bottom to the top. Here we go..
10. Black Widow
I mean, honestly. Yes, she is the best spy around that was trained by the worst organization ever, Hydra, however she was just that, a spy. Mind you, she a was a damn good one, like nobody else could sneak into SHIELD and become an agent. Nobody. She was the only one and she actually managed to do it. You have to give her some credit for that at least. And she managed to fall in love with Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.
Haha, what and archer!!! MM!! And he's so freaking athletic that's it's not even a joke. He has to do at least to so many reps of the long workout right? Well, what happens when he gets out Archer's College for Beginners? He becomes an Avenger.Clint Barton is the top archer out there, with so many imitators he probably gets a lot of shit for everything. And besides, who else could keep the one and only Black Widow in check? None other than Hawkeye people.
Yes indeed, Peter Parker was in fact an Avenger.
Though not a very famous one, he was on the team for a short while before deciding he did better solo. But I mean still I couldn't not include him that would be just wrong. He did a good job as an Avenger, he just didn't like it and ventured off to sort of do his own thing. He may not e at the top of my list but that doesn't mean that he isn't an all time favorite. People all around absolutely love our wall-crawler. Along with the ability to sense imminent danger, he was also able to crawl on walls and shoot his own spider silk.
The Hulk. Oh boy where to begin with Mr. Big in the Britches himself. The Hulk was an aftereffect of the Gamma explosion that affected Dr. Bruce Banner.
And after it all was said and done the Avengers really did grow from the help of the Hulk's super-anger and strength. The angrier he is the larger he gets, which can get really scary sometimes. If you ask me The Hulk is not someone to screw around with.
In all honesty, I really think The Hulk is really overlooked as just big, nasty mean green creature, when he's the last person you should be overlooking at the end of the day.
6. Janet "Jan" van Dyne
That's right, The Wasp is and will be coming to the big screen and it has been confirmed that production will indeed be starting up soon. Until then, let me run down her character for you guys so that you all know why she's ranking in the sixth position for my top 10 Avengers list. So basically, Henry Pym had invented something called Pym Particles, a serum that could either enlarge the user or shrink them. It was designed for a suit of armor that soldiers would use and eventually the soldiers wouldn't even have to use them. Anyways, Janet was Henry's girlfriend when he came out with these and he saved a master serum for himself and duplicated it for Ms. Dyne. After an accident occurred at the lap after Janet had consumed the serum she gained the ability not only to shrink but to sprout wings at will and shoot bio-energy blasts from her hands. That's pretty damn cool!
Henry "Hank" Pym created Pym Particles. A serum with the use of granting its consumer the ability to grow or shrink in size. With the serum, one could also multiply his strength tenfold. Unlike the Hulk who has virtually unlimited strength, the Pym Particles did give you a set power number and that was it whether you were gigantic or tiny. He was a co-founder of the Avengers and helped Stark put the team together.
Ranking at number five, Hank is also one of the key members of the team. Although a pacifist, Hank still was proactive with the team and everybody in it as he also helped design some of the more advanced capabilities of the Iron Man suit. Tony and he didn't just create the Avengers though... they also wanted to help the team track down super-villains and make the world a safer place for the better. Thus came Ultron.
Uh huh. The god of thunder was a god and a prince at the exact same time. Birth. Thor Odin-son was the prince of Asgard and the future king of his home world. However, a series of unfortunate events followed. First, Loki had challenged the throne and put up this long and ugly fight about it. He was then exiled to the Isle of Silence, a world of complete uninterest where there was no sound produced. Ever. By anything. And then he managed to escape with the help of some of Thor's enemies, thus Loki shared a common goal with them. Loki wanted to be king of at least a world so he came down to Earth and almost succeeded at making it his. However the Avengers learned that he was planning this and thus made an attempt to stop him. Thor realized what his half-brother was doing and immediately came down to Earth to help the Avengers subdue Loki so that he could never bother another planet again. From that moment onward Thor has been an Avenger. Though he's not at the top of the list he is definitely a close match with some of my favorites.
3. Black Panther
One of my personal favorites, the King of Wakanda made a close tie with my Number Two rank. Though he still doesn't have enough to be my second. T'Challa of Wakanda is the Black Panther. An embodiment of the spirit that watches over and protects the African island of Wakanda. He was aware that his kingdom at one point was in grave danger under the threat of a tribe long ago banished to exile. He had come to America seeking out the help of the Avengers team and had helped them capture a baddy in return. He requested Captain America's help and then of course was accepted into the team as an official Avenger. Since then he has been an awesome character of Marvel and it's about time that he got his own movie. Not only does he have extreme combat abilities, his suit is entirely composed of Vibranium, the metal that was also used to create Cap's shield. So he himself is almost indestructible, but he can take physical damage if he is stabbed or just with plain brute force.
2. Iron Man
Tony Stark has always been my personal favorite. Why would he not be? He's a genius. He created his own Life Support System that can run on its own without any possible failure, and he was a super smart smart human being. By the age of nine he had built his own motorcycle engine. By the age of sixteen he had graduated MIT at the top of his class. He was a founding member of the Avengers and also he even created his own alter ego, Iron Man. Which is kind of ironic, no pun intended, because the suit that you see on him nowadays doesn't have a bit of iron in it. When he was stuck captive in a cave the first suit of armor he made was made with iron. Also explaining why it didn't last very long after he took off into air with it.
As a founding member of the Avengers team, he recognized that he wanted another super-genius like him at his side, thus inviting Hank Pym into the team and starting to save the world one country at a time. He often didn't like associating with Nick Fury or SHIELD because they usually stole a lot of his tech and made weapons from 90% of it all. Hence starting a feud with Fury about the registration of Heroes into the database. He didn't like that much either and often stood against it, while the First Avenger was all over idea. Thus came Civil War.
1. Captain America
That's right, placing Number One on my list is the Star-Spangled man with a plan. And not just on my list either, he also places number one on the Avengers general list as he is the First Avenger. I often wondered why this was until a discussion enlightened me that he is, in fact, the oldest Avenger as he is about ninety years old, give or take a few years. And also accounting the fact the the serum that was injected into him gave him strength, speed, and even heightened stamina. The Captain of America managed to scare away the red skull, only to drive his ship into the arctic circle, thus getting the cryo treatment and remaining unconscious for about seventy years, until the day that Howard Stark fished him out of the ocean and brought him back to the world of the awake.
