Batman vs Superman is in a state of controversy right now. The third trailer has divided fans and has provided a mixed response in general. Some loved the trailer while others hated it. Some fans hype level has increased while others have been lowered. The negative criticisms of the trailer varied from the editing, music, and etc. But the main thing that has griped a lot of people was feeling the trailer revealed a whole bunch about the film. Spoiler alert for those who somehow haven't watched the trailer, but the trailer revealed Doomsday and the Trinity teaming up at the end.

Some fans claimed that this spoiled the whole movie as seeing Doomsday and the Trinity pretty much showed us the entire third act. Well worried fans, your concerns for the most part can be put to rest as the production designer of the film, Patrick Tatopoulos, gave positive comments regarding the film and the controversy surrounding it as of late. Here what he had to say in an interview:

"We are able to tell a story in a fresh way. Doomsday is an evolution essentially. Fans may be aware of the death of Superman story, but this is handled in such a new way".
When the film is called Batman v or versus Superman, it really has a lot of levels to the meaning. Superman isn't just killed off at the end of something. We see how he evolves as part of Lex's plan to protect the world. Seeing the Superman we know, be gone, and then replaced with this reproduction is really going to make fans think of how we look at these super beings. It was especially interesting to figure out, how would you create Superman from Zod... then how would that involve into Doomsday."

Well, he just revealed a lot! He pretty much confirmed that the movie wasn't spoiled by the third trailer and that Doomsday is essentially not even the focus of the final act. He will evolve in the film like he does in the comics (Take that, comic book jerks). This suggests that Doomsday is in the second act of the film. This piece of news not only gets me even more excited for the film (like that's even possible!) but also makes me wonder what big surprises are in store for us during the film. I guess like Patrick says, we're just gonna have to wait until March 25th to find out!
