Just like the title says....these were great actors, and for some reason or other we just don't see as much of them these days. Yes, I'm a child of the 90's so alot of these are going to seem like "hey, this guy is from the 90's." But, that is just the facts. Here we go.

Michelle Pfieffer

Still a badass.
Still a badass.

You know what, I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure Pfieffer's absence from the Hollywood scene is entirely voluntary. Contrary to popular belief, Hollywood is not the be-all end-all of life. Lot's of celebrities just slink away to spend time with their children and do things THEY WANT to do. That is completely okay, and freaking encouraging. Pfieffer took 3 and 4 year hiatus's at various points through the 2000's and 2010's.

Dana Carvey

Hey hey. HEY. This guy is great. I never have ever not enjoyed watching his stand-up. Even his movies, which are not good--are still funny with him in them. He's just a funny guy. He always cheers me up. I love this guy, and wish he was more prolific. His impressions (while not intended to be accurate) are always full on, and very funny. He was always hilarious, but he just seems to get more likeable as he gets older. The dude is 60 for chrissakes, but he's like mythical creature you just want to live forever.

Mel Gibson

Whatever negative thing you have to say about this man at this point, shut up about it. It's all over and done with. What we care about now is that it appears he is making a comeback into the spotlight. Thank, God. This guy can act. Blood Father looks to be in post-production, while Hacksaw Ridge is currently filming. Great stuff.

Robert Redford

Hey. Who says you can't continue acting well into your 70's? Redford is almost 80 years old, but who gives a shit? Like Pfieffer, I have no idea if his absences is just a "I really have no more to say" kind of absence, or what. He just doesn't do as much. He probably doesn't need to, but doesn't mean we wouldn't love to see him do a ton a cool stuff.

Gene Hackman

Hackman voluntarily left "the biz" as they call it. He hasn't had a starring role since 2004's Welcome to Mooseport. It's interesting he called it quits 10 years ago at the age of 74. He probably had some mileage left on him, but happiness comes in all shapes and sizes. When it's time, it's time. I hope whereever he is he is happy. He was a incredibly gifted actor, one whom inspires me, and inspired me in my own acting work.

Mike Myers

You saw this one coming. Seriously, where the fuck is this guy? He is a force of nature, much like his Wayne's World co-star. Universe, please give us back Mike Myers.
