You might have heard a few rumors surrounding the Han Solo spin-off movie... well it's true... all of it.
Okay, that was my first lie of the day, but wasn't that fun! You might have heard that Harrison Ford will be making a cameo appearance in the Han Solo anthology movie, as a narrator or as a framing devise, possibly telling the story of the Original Trilogy to a few eager grandchildren. However -- to the disappointment of Solo fans everywhere, Harrison Ford has officially debunked these rumors.
In an interview with Reuters, Ford officially declared that he isn't involved in the Solo project.
So I'm sure whoever is responsible for that film, and I'm not, will think through the issues and problems of doing such a thing ... Let's make them responsible for those questions you might think to ask me because I'm not involved.
This quote seems fairly conclusive: Ford isn't involved with the Han Solo movie. It's a real shame, it would have been good to see him involved with production in the same manner Leonard Nimoy cameoed alongside Zachary Quinto in the Star Trek reboot.
Then again, perhaps a potential three more movies is enough: we're soon to be seeing Harrison Ford reprise his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens on... December 18th; is it really just 4 days away?

Did that hit you right in the feels? Guys, Star Wars VII is almost here! Also, Disney is working on some serious expansions for it's Star Wars content on the silver and small screen, so let's look to the horizon; who do you think could play a young Han Solo?
This is my (by no means official) personal top 5 list of actors who could fill Harrison Ford's shoes.
1. Colton Haynes
Who? You'll know him from The CW's Arrow, where he played Oliver Queen's first and finest sidekick, Arsenal, a.k.a. Roy Harper.
Why? Haynes is about to go big and if Star Wars doesn't grab him now it'll be too late!
2. Aaron Taylor Johnson
Who? Johnson has already had the starring role in Kick-Ass and has recently debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron as Quicksilver.
Why? He's already proven himself to be a versatile actor and I can imagine him adopting the cocky, smuggler's bravado pretty smoothly.
3. Liam Hemsworth
Who? The littler of the Hemsworth brothers, if you don't know him already you'll soon know him from Independence Day: Resurgence.
Why? Liam has superhero in his blood and will undoubtedly continue growing as a Hollywood star.
4. Robbie Amell
Who? Among other roles, you'll recognize Amell from The Flash, where he played Firestorm. This isn't to be confused with Stephen Amell, who plays The Green Arrow in the CW Arrow series.
Why?: Although Amell's role as Ronnie Raymond in The Flash didn't have the swagger needed for a Han Solo figure, he's a very versatile actor, as shown by his role in The Tomorrow People.
5. Dave Franco
Who? James Franco's younger brother has already built a name for himself through movies such as 21 Jump Street and Now You See Me.
Why? Although most would recognize him as the lovable goofball, the younger Franco has a lot of potential, I could certainly imagine him as young space-gunslinger Han Solo.
What do you think? Could any of my top five work as a young Han Solo?
