From Software really went all out to create the perfect open-world setting where gamers could create a character, customize it, and then do whatever the hell they pleased with that character (except live) in this dark fantasy/slash 'em up. At the very beginning of the game you choose what you want your character to look like. You get a wide variety of bodily features. Those of which include body size, hair style, hair color, body type, and after it's all said and done you even get to give specific measurements that fit your taste best.

Ever since you start the game the first thing you realize about yourself is that you just suck at living because you can't seem to do it very well. That's right. Almost the sole purpose of Dark Souls is not to get through the end but it is to live through the next five steps you take. There are enemies waiting around corners, just beyond your field of vision, and even enemies that walk up to you by surprise and murder your ass. But, all in all, it is a really really fun game to just screw around and enjoy yourself with.

You start the game with nothing on your body save your armor and a broken straight sword. Eventually you get your gear together but you have to take a couple of steps first. When you get your gear all together, there is an archer that you have to kill to continue. Don't worry it isn't too hard but it is overall awesomely fun. In all reality, I really love what From Software has done to the gaming world by bringing Dark Souls into it. And look where it has gotten them. Making a sequel and eventually turning Dark Souls into a trilogy altogether. Although I can't wait until Dark Souls III does come out. It would be so interesting to see what they've done to it this time around don't you think so?
