Papa Don't Preach, but Madonna does - the '80s pop icon told fans to "shut the f*ck up" after some of them moaned for her arriving on stage an hour late at a gig in Manchester Arena.
When an announcement was made that the show would be finishing at the later time slot of 11:30pm, some members of the crowd walked out, while others booed and jeered (they are different, trust me).
Before Madge Got Into the Groove, she had around 4 Minutes to address the crowd and explain the situation in an expletive heavy tirade. She said:
"I don’t like to be late by the way, all you bitches you keep complaining about it can shut the f*ck up. I’m not back here eating chocolates, filing my nails and getting my extensions done."
The Grammy winning Queen of Pop hadn't finished at telling fans to keep their mouths firmly shut. Oh no. She added:
“If you diva bitches want to keep complaining about it don't come to my show.”
She was originally due to take to the stage at 9pm, but finally emerged around 10pm. An announcement confirmed the delay was beyond the singers control, and was due to a technical issue with the video system in the arena.
The venue, which has a capacity of 22,000, is the only North West City on Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour. The same technical glitch responsible for the delay also cut short her set - in the midnight hour, fans felt the power of goodbye.
Following the show, fans who had attended the show expressed their disappointment on Twitter:
