Welcome to my DCEU Fan Cast - Part II - Justice Society. These are my ideas on how the characters could be portrayed in a DCEU alternate universe. My thoughts on castings and alternate castings for completely new potential characters for the DC cinematic universe. Although I tried to make this as original and realistic as possible, some are just straight up dream castings that probably won't happen, but there's much more to come. Let me know what you think!

Also if you havent already, check out my Justice League Fan Cast

NOTE: The tone I've picked for this franchise of the DCEU is a slightly more retro/rough tone (much like Watchmen) set in the late 40's early 50's Earth 2 with cast of slightly older actors for some of the characters considering a few of them are lesser/alternate versions of Justice League characters.

Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, Hell or High Water, Lone Survivor)

One of the finest actors working today and yet criminally underrated. Somewhat flying under the radar as of late, mostly known for taking supporting roles, his most notable in 3:10 to Yuma in which he outperformed Crowe and Bale, which proves he is a world class talent who just needs a chance at leading a major franchise.

THE FLASH // Jay Garrick

Bradley Cooper (American Sniper, Limitless, Silver Linings Playbook)

One of todays biggest stars, and one of the most notable actors yet to appear in a superhero movie (I know he's in Guardians voice acting for Rocket, but you don't see him). I think he would be perfect for Jay Garrick, hes in his 40's which would match the tone of this Earth 2 version, also Cooper's experience in action and comedy would lend well to this iconic Flash on top of his pedigree with dramatic roles.

FATE // Kent Nelson

Casey Affleck (Manchester by the Sea, Gone Baby Gone, The Finest Hours)

The lesser known Affleck brother, but I would argue the better actor, Casey has been constantly improving and consistently getting leading roles in Hollywood blockbusters and critically acclaimed indie films. He could very easily lead his own franchise and he has the ability to portray the godlike being of Nabu and his magical abilities as well as the tortured psychiatrist struggling to maintain his sanity the more he gives into the helmet. He would be a fantastic Sorcerer Supreme.

Nabu voiced by - Liam Neeson or Charles Dance

HAWKMAN // Carter Hall

Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings, Dredd, Star Trek)

Unfortunately for us, unless Netflix picks it up we wont be seeing Karl Urban lead a Dredd sequel. So instead I've turned my attention to him portraying Hawkman. Whether it be the Egyptian prince, the archaeologist or the Thanagarian, Urban would kill it. The dry humour, the grittiness and the intense action he has shown in his most notable roles(listed above) would lend well to this character who's on screen potential has yet to be reached.

HAWKGIRL // Kendra Saunders

Charleze Theron (Mad Max:Fury Road, Monster, Prometheus)

Quickly becoming the leading female action star in Hollywood and already an established world class dramatic actor, Charlize Theron would play an amazing version of this character. Despite all of her other amazing roles, specifically her role in Mad Max as Furiosa demonstrates her versatility and suitability to Hawkgirl. The grittiness, the compassion contrasting with the rage as well as the action and fight.

ZATANNA // Zatanna Zatara

Eva Green (300 Rise of an Empire, Casino Royale, Penny Dreadful)

I know Zatanna has never been apart of the Justice Society, I just feel the essence of this character would thrive far more in this setting. Eva Green is an amazing actress and quite mysterious and alluring. She has played the devious, magical, sexy, and strong female characters and would be quite fitting as this hero.

WILDCAT // Ted Grant

Timothy Olyphant (Justified, Deadwood) and Jon Hamm (Mad Men, The Town) are my two picks to play the boxer vigilante Ted Grant. Two fantastic actors who have wonderful and charming comedic sides but excel at depicting a very likeable yet rbrutal, tenacious, and uncompromising characters.

DR MIDNITE // Pieter Cross

Billy Crudup (Watchmen, Big Fish, Rudderless)

A fantastic actor, would bring a much needed grounded performance to this character, much like a batman medic type for the Justice Society. Although a particularly small role, Crudup would be amazing choice to help bring him to the big screen.

SANDMAN // Wesley Dodds

David Tennant (Doctor Who, Harry Potter GoF, Jessica Jones)

In my opinion, the best Doctor we've ever had and a fantastic actor on top of that. Needless to say Tennant is amazing and would absolutely kill it as Wesley Dodds, he would bring a certain mysticism, somewhat creepy yet sly charm to the character.

MR TERRIFIC // Michael Holt

Nate Parker (Birth of a Nation, Beyond the Lights, Great Debaters)

Great actor, currently getting a lot of attention for his directorial debut for Birth of a Nation, he often takes roles which let him portray a strong and heroic minority figure and that is essentially who Michael Holt is at his core. He would bring a great sense of complexity and power to this genius level character.

STARGIRL // Courtney Whitmore

Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, Brooklyn, Grand Budapest Hotel)

Shes done action, shes done comedy, and she been Oscar nominated multiple times for her dramatic roles. It seems weird putting an Irish actress in for a role as an All American superhero, but Saoirse was born in New York and is an expert with accents so there is my loophole. World class, versatile, I think Saoirse would be perfect and would have the potential to push this character into a leading role.

HOURMAN // Rex Tyler

Dominic Cooper (Preacher, Captain America, Warcraft)

I've always kind of imagined the version of Howard Stark he played in Captain America could also be used towards Rex Tyler. The scientist with a certain unwavering and single minded dedication to advancing technology, and a vulnerability which would stem from that, and that fact that apart from the 1 hour after using his Miraclo, he is completely mortal fighting a city full of crime. But nonetheless Dominic Cooper can portray any version of this character, the scientist, the vigilante, the action and comedy as well as the necessary dramatic side.

I have a lot more fan casts I want to do (including the New Gods, JL Dark, Titans, Injustice League, more Heroes and Villains, Directors and much more). I hope you guys enjoyed this fan cast, let me know what you think!
