ByStephen Rafferty, writer at Creators.co

First things first. This is an article all about me. Stephen Rafferty. YouTuber, comedian, entertainer, author, podcaster, world record holder, guy with a lot of titles. Before you get sick of my egotism, let me explain this article. 2015 is wrapping up and what I wanted to do is to write a piece highlighting the ups and downs of this year.

In addition, I want to highlight each of my works and tell you (the reader) about what is going to happen for 2016. Think of it as a year in review. Lastly I wanted to write on Moviepilot because Moviepilot or MP played a role this year (more on that later in in the article).

Writer's note:

2015 overall was a solid year. Coming off from a prospering year of success in different ventures in 2014, 2015 provided a mixture of new adventures and new challenges. 2015 was a refocus for many projects while a discontinuation for some. I will say that I enjoyed the year for what is was professionally but I am ready with open arms and a giant afro for 2016.

Now lets begin the 2015 That Guy RAFF year in review.

1. Failed World Record Attempt & Book Release

let’s start with failures. On Valentine's Day 2014, myself, Maria & Grant broke a Guinness World Record for the most straws in the hair at one time which you can view the video below.

I wanted to create and break a new record for 2015 with a card game called Cards Against Humanity. The party game for horrible people. I wanted to do a world record for the most people playing the card game simultaneously. Unfortunately, the attempt was denied due to the nature of the game and the scope of the record. No hard feelings as the staff running Guinness World Records are some of the coolest people to work with.

Consensus: Who knows? Maybe I will find another record to break in the future but there are no plans for the time being.

Along with trying to break another world record, I was also in the process of writing my second book. My first was entitled Fifty Ridiculous Drawings & Funny Sayings in Less Than Fifty Pages (say that five times fast) and was released in late 2014 on Amazon, Barnes & Noble & various online retailers.

I was adamant in writing a second book called The ABC's of College: A self-help Comedy Book to be released late 2015.

Unfortunately, due to legalities regarding the name, the book never came to fruition.

Consensus: As of right now, I have no interest in writing another book. Maybe in the future but not now.

2). The Debut of Untitled Interviews

Untitled Interviews was a YouTube series created in February 2015.The premise of the show was to give exposure to up incoming artists, musicians and entertainers with an in depth interview. Untitled Interviews shows how these artists became who they are, their goals and highlights current and future projects. Only two episodes have been created this year. The first starring Tommi Waring & the second starring Carolena. See the interviews here.

Consensus: I would love to continue Untitled Interviews but time, location and financial constraints play a big role in creating the show (which is why there have been only two episodes). I am not discontinuing the show by any means but episodes will be made sparingly.

Side note: Carolena just released a music video from her EP entitled Everything in Between. The song is called Beautiful & Terrifying and she wanted everyone to check it out.

3). Relaunch of Podcasts

In the Summer of 2014, I launched two video podcasts. The "Insert Title Here" & Wrestling is Wrestling. “Insert Title Here" or ITH was a video podcast hosted by myself ( the ego continues to sink in) co-hosted by Tyler Lindauer & Alex Nunez edited by Eddie Balatoando and guest starred Caleb Wright. The original concept was to place topics on a prize wheel. Whatever topic the wheel lands on, we talk about it. The premise was talk about anything and everything. Simple as that.

The podcast was discontinued after two episodes but was relaunched in August of 2015 due to a sponsorship deal with Clowdy.com. The deal was to produce 12 episodes or one season. The main premise of the show of talking about everything was intact but ITH took out the wheel gimmick and switched to an audio only podcast. Currently we are in the 1st season with our latest episode on Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming out last week.

Consensus: Expecting to finished the season in mid-May. After that the podcast will be up for re-negotiations. ITH will probably stick to an audio only podcast but may do a special episode with the original format.

Listed is the playlist to all of our episodes.

The Wrestling is Wrestling podcast was the same idea as ITH expect with pro wrestling related topics i.e. WWE. Released one month after the original release of ITH, the Wrestling is Wrestling podcast or WIW starred myself (ego!), Saily Reg & Michael Ismail.

Similarly to ITH, the podcast disbanded after two episodes. Interestingly enough, WIW was also contacted for a 12-episode deal but to be a part of the OSW Review Podcast network under Piledriverwrestling.net. The 12-episode deal bought in a new cast of podcasters jumping from the original three to now eight members and brought in a subsection podcast called Ring of Podcast talking about the wrestling promotion Ring of Honor.

Consensus: We are releasing a commercial for 2016 as we are planning to finish the season in the summer. Most likely we will renew for another season with the network.

Here is a preview of the commerical:

4). MoviePilot Articles

All of the articles I wrote for MP in 2015

I was figuring out what I wanted to do creatively and in doing so I stumble upon on Moviepilot.com. The first article I released was called Seven Years Later: A in Depth Look at The Wrestler highlighting the inner workings of the film The Wrestler. After that article I started writing as a contributing writer for MP. The articles I wrote for MP open up the door for me to express my views and make opportunities for myself and for readers to enjoy.

Consensus: I will continue to write articles for MP occasionally. I have some future ideas for articles lined up so this will not be the last you will read from me.

5). What's in store for 2016?

Right now, along with the projects mentioned above, I am creating another YouTube series called Card Clash. Think of a let's play but with various card games. I shot a pilot episode of the Card Clash group playing the game UNO.

Other than that, the next big thing that I am doing is a TEDx Talk in the spring of 2016. More information will be announced soon on my social medias.
