I was stoked when I heard I would be attending Jason Blum's Paranormal Activity holiday and Ghost Dimension DVD release party. I had no idea what to expect, however, I knew it would be a night I would not and could not forget. Entering the party I was taken back by the decorations and atmosphere of the party. The decorations were very merry to say the least. Sporting a huge Christmas tree and a grand fireplace decked out in Christmas and horror details. It was very impressive to see the mix of horror and holiday cheer mesh and mix so well together.

Guests were allowed to take pictures with the decorations and even a ghost or two. The party was completely interactive, meaning there were people completely made up as ghosts walking around and even scaring guests. The interactive aspect within the party definitely prepped myself and others for what was to come in the Ghost Dimension experience.

The Ghost Dimension experience was extremely unique. I've been in quite a lot of haunted houses, mazes, etc. However nothing comes close to the Ghost Dimension experience. I was able to experience it with Jason Blum! A small group was walked to the entrance of the experience and it was a go. Without spoiling every detail I will tell you that you literally feel like you are in the film Paranormal Activity Ghost Dimension. Also the transitions to and from different rooms and sets were amazing and terrifying. It was dark, sometimes dead silent, sometimes loud, strobe light effects, people jumping out, pushing through items, ducking down, being touched, and more. I had too much fun in the Ghost Dimension experience, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

While at the party I was able to squeeze in a couple interviews with two Paranormal Activity stars! First up was Brit Shaw who played Emily in Paranormal Activity Ghost Dimension.

What scene was the most difficult to film?

Technically the ritual ending scene would have to be the most challenging. There were a lot of things flying off the walls, a table flying at us and I had Leila in my arms. Because she was scared and didn't want to do it, her being afraid helped the scene, it made it more realistic. And then on top of that I had to do my choreography, and hit my mark so it was a little difficult because I also cared about Leila in my arms. I just didn't want anything to go wrong.

What was your favorite scene to shoot?

I don't know, there wasn't really a favorite scene for me. It was more like whenever I could interact with the rest of the cast was a really good time. To be able to find the scene within another person was a lot of fun.

Are you a horror fan at all?

I am totally a horror fan. Before, I couldn't sleep without checking my closet as a kid. I checked everywhere and said I was never going to watch scary movies. And then I filmed one and got to know the community , and I'm totally a fan. I now go see them out of the enjoyment of how they scare you. And knowing when watching a film that you are scared it means the job was done. Even seeing the film after shooting it, we knew what we wanted to build up as a jump scare and what not, and I can just appreciate it more.

What is your favorite horror film?

The movie The Strangers scared me so bad because it's real. You could be at a cabin and someone randomly comes to mess with you and have no reason. I mean you never know. It really scared me.

What's next for you?

I just finished a movie with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Cam Gigandet called Shadow, it's an action movie. And then a movie called LimeLight I did back in August should come out next year. So I'm gearing up for those two movies.

I also got to interview Chloe Csengery who played young Katie in Paranormal Activity 3 that night as well!

What was your thought process when your learned you were going to be in a horror film?

When I first found out I was about 10 years old, and honestly I was a little freaked out because I was young. But being on a set of more dramatic and dark genres people are more funny because they're trying to lighten the mood. So it's been incredible, everything about being in a horror movie is great.

What was your favorite scene in PA3?

My favorite scene had to be the Bloody Mary scene. It was fun because we tried that scene with 4 different people and could never get it right. And it was a lot of fun because there was so many special effects. At the part when someone is banging on the door, is actually a crew member and he was just banging on the door. So it was cool because it was our own special effects.

Okay so what was your favorite scene in 'Ghost Dimension'?

I love the scene when Leila is playing the recorder and she stops and then blood comes out. It scared me but honestly I thought it was the coolest thing ever. And then the noise all around her, I loved that.

What was the most challenging scene to film in PA3?

The scene where my hair got pulled up. It was actually kind of funny. We had a ponytail connected to my hair and a hole in my shirt in the back to put a bar through it. So we have to run up the stairs and I have to run into a man for the special effects for Toby. So I had to run into him, step back, have the emotion that a demon is in my presence. And then the director yelled stop, so they could lift the bar up behind me, and I had to keep my emotion the same, and then once he yelled action I had to continue acting through it. It was crazy. It turned out really great.

What did you think about the experience?

I thought it was fun! I went through it twice. The first time I hid behind the person in front of me the whole time. And I was terrified when I had to go through the rubber thing. I wasn't expecting that. I was like wait, what is happening? But the second time I was like okay guys I got this.

So what's next for you?

I'm actually currently on Modern Family. I have a reoccurring role on that and it's been a lot of fun. It's a big change from Paranormal. Its been so great, it's great to do both.

I had a blast at the party and in the Ghost Dimension Experience. It's a night I won't forget.
