Movies are awesome.

Star Wars is back, and I couldn't be happier. My earliest memories are all movies, and chief among those is my experience with watching The Empire Strikes Back in theaters in the early 90's. It was a mind-blowing experience, and one I've been wanting to relive vet since.

Nearly 20 years later, I've finally been able to do so by watching The Force Awakens. As the familiar title credits rolled, a guy about my age hollered at the top of his lungs, and everyone in the theater applauded and laughed heartily. With every reference to the classic trilogy, the audience members laughed and clapped and cried. I nearly pissed myself when a great character died on the bridge towards the end.

Is it perfect? No. But it's Star Wars, returned to its true form, given to the movie going world with love and care. And that's what really matters. Now if I can wait two years for Episode 8 without exploding!!
