Now that The Force Awakens is finally here, I found it appropriate to give my opinion of how I would rank the Star Wars movies. Now before we begin, I'm only going to rank the Star Wars movies that have had a theatrical release, so no Holiday Special, sorry!

8: Star Wars- The Clone Wars (Movie)

Ugh... Ahsoka Tano...
Ugh... Ahsoka Tano...

This movie is absolute garbage. I remember seeing it on the big screen and hating this Ahsoka Tano character with all her "Sky Guy" nonsense, she's probably my least favorite Star Wars characters of all time. Well, at least the TV series was better than this movie

7: Star Wars Episode II- Attack of the Clones

Yoda with his lightsaber!
Yoda with his lightsaber!

With it's over CGI mess and Anakin being a total creep, this is by far the worst movie in the live-action Star Wars saga. We also got the great character of Jango Fett, but was unfortunately way underused. At least we got to see Yoda with his lightsaber for the first time.

6: Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith

Obi-Wan vs. General Grievous
Obi-Wan vs. General Grievous

Alright, the movie that was the first Star Wars movie that I saw on the big screen! Now this movie's not bad, but it's not great either. Now we did get introduced to a great character in General Grievous (who like Jango, was underused), we still got some terrible characters from Anakin and Padme. But at least it wrapped up the prequel trilogy and got us into the originals.

5: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Luke Skywalker and the binary sunset
Luke Skywalker and the binary sunset

Alright, the movie that started it all, how can you not like this one?! It got us introduced all the iconic characters we all know and love like Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, and Darth Vader! Now there are some effects and some acting in this movie that's not the best, but you still have to appreciate this movie for what it has done to pop culture.

4. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Darth Vader and the bounty hunters
Darth Vader and the bounty hunters

Now from here on the lists it's all 10/10's. There's not much to say that's bad about this movie because I believe this is the most well made Star Wars movie there is, but it's not my favorite one, but my god I love the chemistry to all the characters in this film. The introduction to Yoda was incredible, I cannot believe they pulled that off!

3. Star Wars Episode VII- The Force Awakens

"Chewie... We're home..."
"Chewie... We're home..."

With the release of this film, Star Wars is officially back. I loved every single thing about this movie. All the new characters in this movie are amazing, bringing back the old characters were awesome too. I teared up once in this movie and then I flat out cried in another. It was a roller coaster of emotions and it will be a movie-going experience that I will never forget. Now I've only seen the movie twice, so maybe after some more time, this ranking will change.

2. Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Jabba the Hut
Jabba the Hut

This movie has some of my favorite Star Wars movie moments of all time with the entire first act of the movie with Jabba the Hut, and the ending with Luke facing Vader and the Emperor for the last time with an epic space battle in the background. Now some people are not a fan of the Ewoks, but I think they're great! Plus this movie gave us one of my favorite characters of all time with Admiral Ackbar!

1. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Jar Jar Binks leading the Battle of Naboo
Jar Jar Binks leading the Battle of Naboo

I love this movie. I love Jar Jar. Come at me. No but seriously, if you want me to explain this, read this editorial here. This movie is the first Star Wars movie I saw as a kid, and I purely love this movie due to nostalgic value, and I totally understand why people wouldn't like this movie.

So how would you guys rate the Star Wars movies? I bet they'll be totally different than mine! And please, no hate because these are just MY opinions.
