Imagine if you could wait in line to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens like a true fanatic, and raise money for charity while doing so. It would be like pledging for a marathon, but without the running part. Seems like something I can get into.
And if you haven't yet seen the film, be sure to check out the trailer below, as it is sure to pump you up in excitement!
Star Wars fans Caroline Ritter and Andrew Porters joined the LiningUp group, who spend two weeks waiting in shifts outside the TCL Chinese Theatre located in Hollywood, California. They received pledges for the Starlight Children's Foundation.
This adorable story doesn't end there. After the twelve days, the couple got married outside the theater with a ceremony including Jedi, wookiees, Stormtroopers, and even R2-D2 donning a classy bowtie.
IMAX surprised the couple by donating $5,000 to the Starlight Childrens Foundation in their names, and then gave them another $5,000 to spend on their honeymoon trip.
May the Force be with these newlyweds. I would highly recommend taking a trip to Naboo, as I heard the grassy hills and the ocean scenery is quite beautiful.
