Since 2016 is right around the corner I figured I’d talk about my five most anticipated films for the year.

#5 - Suicide Squad

Yep. I can’t wait to see a new Joker and the first appearance of Harley Quinn in a live action feature film. I’m very curious about the Suicide Squad since a good guy isn’t front and center, but instead it’s the bad guys. I want to see how it all flows together, how they’ll integrate Batman into the fold since we know he’s in the film, but how much is still debatable. I do think what will steal the show for many is Robbie as Harley Quinn, she’s mesmerizing in the trailer and I’m very curious about Will Smith as Deadshot.

#4 - The Jungle Book

John Favreau is bringing the classic story to life and I really didn’t have much hope for it until I watched the trailer. The Jungle Book trailer sold me with it’s visuals and great effects. It looks like a well put together film with how the trailer flowed. I have faith in Favreau due to what he’s done in the past, Iron man 2 is the exception. The voice talent alone should get you into those theater seats pretty quick for families to enjoy.

#3 - Tarzan

I’ve been waiting for a proper Tarzan film for a long time and from the trailer I watched last week it looks like this one might deliver something amazing. I wasn’t to keen to seeing Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan until I seen him in the trailer, and now I’m totally all in with him being this character. I probably should have had more faith with David Yates directing since he did the few Harry Potter films, which were great.

#2 - Captain America: Civil War

I wasn’t super impressed with the last Avengers film but what sells me on this film more than anything are the Russo Brothers. What they did with Captain America 2 was nothing short of amazing and I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with basically everyone in the MCU, besides Hulk and Thor. I love Chris Evans as Cap and who can deny Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and seeing these two go head to head in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) slightly orgasmic for any comic book geek out there.

#1 - Star Wars: Rogue One

The most anticipated film of 2015 just came out and I’m already looking forward to the first stand alone film in the Star Wars universe with Rogue One. A year can’t go by quick enough and seeing the story of how the Rebels stole the Death Star plans as well as possibly seeing Vader again on the big screen is enough for me jump for joy!

I know most of you are wondering why Batman Vs. Superman isn't on this list, but that last trailer made it move down the list a bit.

What film are you most looking forward to in 2016?
