A new London play based on the Harry Potter series titled "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" has drawn a lot of controversy because of a casting "issue". The character in question that is being cast Hermoine. Made famous by Emma Watson, the person who would be cast to play Hermoine is not white, and J.K. Rowling is okay with it!
The person who is being cast as Hermoine in the London play will be Swaziland born actress named Noma Dumezweni.
The actress has had a career in acting, and has been seen in Dr. Who as well as a few TV shows, The Marriage of Reason & Squalor and Causality. And J.K. Rowling is okay with it!
The play based on a brand new story by J.K Rowling will also star Jamie Parker and Paul Thornley as Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, respectively and will be opening on July 30th.
