Remember how the Kardashians are intimately linked to that whole O.J. Simpson murder trial thing? Yeah, people kind of forget that, don't they?

Well, American Crime Story: The People V O.J. Simpson looks set to remind you with their latest teaser trailer for their dramatization of one of the most controversial moments in American legal history.

In the new cast promo, we see Cuba Gooding Jr. who plays Simpson in American Crime Story, cowering in the corner of a child's bedroom with a gun. Meanwhile, David Schwimmer, who plays lawyer Robert Kardashian pleads, "Do not kill yourself in Kimmy's bedroom. Give me the gun." Check out the trailer below:

Earlier this year, various tabloids revealed information about the story, which claimed Simpson made a suicide tape in Kim Kardashian's bedroom before being persuaded out of it by Robert Kardashian. It's unclear how much of the story is valid, but it seems American Crime Story was eager to include it within its series.

Of course, the inclusion of this line of dialogue is hardly an accident, and clearly it's an attempt by FX to frame the whole incident within the current cultural zeitgeist. After all, Kim Kardashian has basically become the world's defacto celebrity personality.

It'll be interesting to see how much of the reality television family feature in this seasons of the crime anthology. I guess we'll have to wait until February 2, 2016 to find out.
