This has been a long time coming.

Quentin Tarantino, the director of the upcoming The Hateful Eight movie, was presented with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday, accompanied by Samuel L. Jackson. This puts him up there with the likes of James Cameron and Martin Scorsese.

Tarantino has shown innovative practices in cinematography that warrant great appreciation, from his distinctive method of scene and plot transition to his disregard for anything that might be too gruesome or not politically correct. It's great to see one of the best directors of our time to be acknowledged for his amazing work.

The Hateful Eight is to be released on Christmas Eve Thursday, December 24th.
