WARNING: I won't be able to make it through this one without spoilers galore. Don't read on if you haven't watched 'Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens'!

You might have heard that Harrison Ford was paid an ungodly amount of money for Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens, with the initial projections suggesting he earned fifty times that of his costars. Who's surprised really? The only science fiction figure more iconic than Han Solo is Harrison Ford himself, and he earned every penny in The Force Awakens.

We'll miss you, Han. But of course, you know already!

But what about the other characters in the 7th Star Wars movie? This Christmas we were offered John Boyega as Finn, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Oscar Isaac as Poe and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren. Meanwhile, Carrie Fisher reprised her role as Princess Leia and of course sci fi great Mark Hamill returned as Luke Skywalker.

'Variety' reports that Star Wars newbies Boyega and Ridley earned between $100k-$300k, whereas the more prolific Isaac and Driver managed to secure high six-figure payouts.

Due to Disney's new "legacy pay scale" policy, Star Wars veterans like Fisher, Ford and Hamill instantly received much higher salaries than their costars; although Fisher and Hamill are rumored to be promised an extreme increase in pay for future installments.

But what about Mark Hamill specifically? Hamill is interesting considering he's a huge name, but had a rather small role in the movie. Let's face it, Luke Skywalker only appeared in one short scene and never spoke, yet his presence underlined the entire storyline.

Apparently for his thirty seconds of screen time Mark Hamill was paid in the area of low seven figures. That's right, the re-branded Obi Wan hermit was paid north of $1,000,000 for his short cameo! Damn, I might be in the wrong line of work.

Yes, Hamill was paid a lot, but the movie wouldn't have been the same without him and Abrams needed to secure the veteran for future movies.
