Since this is my 95th MP Article I wanted to do something I haven't done in awhile and list my favorite episodes of a TV Series. The problem was which one to write about and then I realized that Smallville would be perfect since I hadn't written about it before and it had a big influence on shows like Arrow & The Flash being Greenlit in the Present Day. I read all the episodes Synapses and decided to concentrate mostly on the episodes involving other Superheroes. I then watched them and compiled this list which I hope you agree with, but if you don't then feel free to list your favorite episode(s) in the comments or write your own article about them if you wish. Here is my list:

1. Season 1 Episode 1: Pilot

This is the episode that started it all. It has Kal-El (Tom Welling) coming to Earth from Krypton and finding the Kents who raised him, His taking of the name Clark Kent, Introduces Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) as well as several other characters from the comics & most importantly has him saving Lex Luthor's (Michael Rosenbaum) Life thus putting them into each other's lives for most of the series.

2. Season 4 Episode 14 : Krypto

This episode is a nod to the Superboy Comics in which Clark had a Kryptonian Dog named Krypto which went with him on many of his early adventures. However, in Smallville Krypto is just an ordinary Earth Dog who is injected with Kryptonite in order to have his handlers use him as well as another Dog to commit various robberies. He is hit by Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and brought to the Kent Farm where he is healed & brought back to health before helping Clark escape after they are both captured by the people who have been mistreating him. Then Krypto helps Clark catch the people who have been doing the experiments on him for Luthorcorp.

3. Season 6 Episode 4 : Arrow

This is the episode that introduces Smallville's version of Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley) AKA Green Arrow, who starts out as a criminal stealing from the rich to give to the poor ala Robin Hood, but ends up being set straight by Clark and becoming a valuable ally throughout the series run thereafter. He even forms the Justice League (see number 4 below) as well as marrying Clark's friend, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack, who happens to be Lois Lane's Cousin & Watchtower) and serves as Clark's Best Man at his wedding to Lois.

4. Season 6 Episode 11 : Justice

This is the episode of Smallville that first introduces their version of the Justice League (besides Clark & Green Arrow it has Impulse (Kyle Gallner), Aquaman (Alan Ritchson), and Cyborg (Lee Thompson Young) in this episode. However eventually includes Black Canary (Alaina Huffman), John Jones (Martian Manhunter, Phil Morris) and Supergirl (Kara Zor-El, Laura Vandervoort). Of Course they are breaking the law at first & Aquaman gets captured, then saved by Impulse who is then captured and has to continue running or be electrocuted. Of Course he is eventually rescued and the JLA accomplishes their mission as expected.

5. Season 7 Episode 2 : Kara

This is the episode which introduces Superman's Cousin (Kara Kent, Laura VanderVoort) to the Smallville Universe. Of Course she thinks Clark is a small child and has to be set straight on several things before she can help him to save the world as part of the Justice League as well as on her own.

6. Season 7 Episode 11 : Siren

This is the episode that introduces Dinah Lance/Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) who is being lied to by Lex Luthor in order to have her steal for him. After she figures out Lex has been lying to her and is shot by him she is saved by Clark as Green Arrow & Lex fight. She later asks Oliver & Clark to forgive her and is asked to join the JLA by Oliver as they leave together.

7. Season 8 Episode 11 : Legion

This is the episode of Smallville that introduces Time Travel as well as the Legion of Superheroes. Three members of the Legion (Rokk Krinn/Cosmic Boy (Ryan Kennedy), Imra Ardeen/Saturn Girl (Alexz Johnson) and Garth Ranzz (Calum Worthy) travel back in time to help Clark defeat Brainiac by killing Chloe, but Clark won't let them and instead shows them how to work together to free Chloe from Brainiac's influence & capture him/it to take back to their time. As they prepare to leave, Rokk gives Clark a Legion Ring so he can time travel as well if he wishes and back in the Fortress Doomsday is awakened in Davis Bloome (Sam Witwer) who ends up killing Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) in the finale.

8. Season 9 Episode 11 : Society and Legends

This is probably my favorite overall episode simply because in introducing the Justice Society of America into the Smallville Universe it also introduces Michael Shanks (Hawkman/Carter Hall), an actor who I always liked from the Stargate SG1 Universe, as well as Britt Irvin (Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl) and Brent Stait (Kent Nelson/Dr. Fate). In the Smallville universe the Justice Society Members Identities were discovered and they were all arrested or institutionalized because they wouldn't be at the Governments beck and call. So they are known as criminals instead of heroes to most people. However, once the son of one of their enemies kills several JSA members and they finally team up with the Justice League to capture him their names are cleared when Lois writes an Article reveiling their Secret Identities and the corrupt Government that had unjustly branded them as criminals.

9. Season 9 Episode 21 : Salvation

In this Episode Zod (Callum Blue) decides to take over Earth with the Kyptonians that were from Kandor by lying to them after he kills his girlfriend & unborn child and blames it on humans. It almost works as they use their super powers to go all over the earth and burn his "z" into many monuments such as the Washington Monument, Pyramids of Egypt, Coliseum in Italy, Etc. However, Clark uses Zod's pride to get him to confess that he killed his girlfriend & child and the Kandorians agree to go with Clark to another world. Once there they intend to deal with Zod, however, he has a blue Kryptonite Dagger which keeps the holder from traveling through portals. Once all the other Kryptonians are gone he takes it out and uses it to kill Clark, though in doing so he seals his own fate as he is then teleported to the planet where all the other Kryptonians were waiting. Lois finds him and removes the Dagger from Clark's chest, then hides so he won't know that she knows his secret & helped him.

10. Season 10 Episode 21 : Finale

In the two Part Finale of Smallville Clark has to go against Darkseid/Lionel Luthor (John Glover) in order to save humanity from the actual Planet Apokolips crashing into Earth as well as people being branded with the Omega Symbol as they lose hope and embrace the darkness. Clark first has to free Oliver from Darkseid's control, then Oliver goes to where Darkseid's Horsemen, Granny Goodness (Christine Willes), Desaad (Steve Byers) and Gordon Godfrey (Michael Daingerfield) are held up and kills them all once they realize he is no longer under their control by shooting three arrows simultaneously, watching as they turn into Smoke and Vanish. Meanwhile Clark goes to the Fortress, gets the Superman Costume from both Jor-El and Jonathan Kent and finally flies off to save the President's Plane and then the world. Afterward, the show goes into the future showing TV coverage of Lex being sworn in as President Elect & shows Lois and Clark finally tying the knot two years from now in 2018.

There you have them, folks, my favorite episodes of Smallville. Do you agree or disagree with my list or the order in which I put it? If so tell me the order you would put them in or the episodes you would change.
