Most recently Entertainment Weekly has revealed that 37-year-old Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic will portray Colossus. You may recognize him as the scary Russian on TV shows like Numb3rs and 24.
Kapicic discussed sat down with Entertainment Weekly and discussed just how excited he was to play the grand metal man:
“My grandfather bought me my first Marvel comic book when I was 6 years old, and since then, it has been an ongoing love. It was an X-Men comic book. Becoming a part of the Marvel Universe was my childhood dream. Like most kids growing up, I read a lot of comic books and acted out some of the characters with friends. Since I can remember, I wanted to be a superhero, so it’s not just a movie for me or just another role. It’s a fulfillment of my dreams on so many levels.”
