One of 2016's most interesting blockbusters is Marvel's Doctor Strange, the film in Marvel's Phase 3 that hopes to extend the universe, introducing the mystical element from Marvel comics.
Academy Award Nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) stars as Stephen Strange, a physician who's career is ruined after a tragic accident. When traveling to Nepal, a wise sorcerer trains Strange in the mystical so that he may protect the world from evil.
Now we have our first look at Benedict Cumberbatch in the full Doctor Strange costume on the front of Entertainment Weekly:
Personally, I love the costume for Strange, it looks like it's come straight from the comic books and Cumberbatch looks great in the costume, I'm sure he'll deliver a pretty marvelous performance, too.
The film started shooting just this November and is set to wrap principal photography in March. The film is directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister) and also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (Triple 9), Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Rachel McAdams (Spotlight), and Tilda Swinton (Trainwreck).
Doctor Strange will be released November 4, 2016.
