While I'm sure HBO is still loving keeping us on the hook regarding Jon Snow's status after the end of Game of Thrones's fifth season, other characters will be far less of a surprise. Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly released our first look at the Warg and Jon Snow's younger half-brother, Bran Stark.

Bran Stark, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, was noticeably missing from the entirety of Season 5, but from the looks of things the upcoming season will shift plenty of focus toward the character.

The last time we saw Bran, he had finally followed the three-eyed raven to the weirwood tree on the hill when their party was attacked by a group of wights. After Jojen was killed and his body burned, Bran, Hodor, and Meera come face-to-face with an old man who ensures Bran that he will never walk again, but he will fly.

It's been over a year since Bran stepped into the weirwood tree, but from the images EW released, it looks like even more time has passed. Check out the first look at Bran Stark in the sixth season of Game of Thrones:

In addition to this new image, Game of Thrones also teased Bran's role in Season 6 in the show's recent teaser trailer in which he can be heard saying, "They have no idea what's going to happen."

If you weren't already excited for the next season of Game of Thrones, maybe Bran's new haircut will do the trick for you.

There's no specific premiere date at the moment, but we know that the sixth season of Game of Thrones will be released on HBO sometime in April.
