The effects for this show look really impressive, but it makes me wonder if they'll be front loaded in the pilot episode and the rest of the season will seem bare by comparison.

This preview doesn't give us much Vandal Savage, but it does show this unnamed baddie up close and personal. I know Savage is the "big bad", and he's immortal, so the assumption is that he simply exists across all time periods and won't actually be chasing them through time. Won't that provide a hugely unfair advantage every week? Time travelers tend to have the element of surprise on their side, after all. Or will the show be mission based, so each week they have a specific task, like a superhero Quantum Leap?
