I have a comic book coming out soon. I also tweet a lot about comics @KurtArthur12.

My apologies for butchering that headline, I was trying to be too much Meat Cute. I'll stop,I promise I know that I am super lame. Also that reference is to Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss"(yes I know it is a re-make and I think it is a zombie-approved song), and this is an article to give recognition to iZombie, so that the show can live more (last one)! First off, I know I am late to the party, but Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell "Frozen, Cute Bunny from the trailer that played before Star Wars" will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of iZombie (Yes hooray! To my one to three readers with their fist pumping in the air, while New Edition's "My Prerogative" blasting away!).

If for some odd reason, you have yet to watch Veronica Mars, please watch it! I was with the vast majority of males that thought the show was beneath me, ( I am a moron sometimes) in the sense I am not into High School drama unless it's Buffy. Is this an article about Veronica Mars? No,but the conduit is both of the shows were created by Rob Thomas, and he is the closest person to Joss Whedon on television (Sorry Jed,bold statement, yes I know). Lastly, before I dive into what makes IZombie a must-eat television, Diane Ruggiero-Wright is the other half of what makes this Whedonesque!

The Villains

This is obviously from Malcolm Goodwin's Twitter

The old saying is "The hero is only as good the villain (something like that, you get the point)," and this show delivers more memorable villains than the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the last several years (Loki, Wilson Fisk, Zebediah Kilgrave, Grant Ward ,maybe Calvin Zebo). Next to Eobard Thawne(Harrison Wells), Blaine DeBeers is one of the most watchable characters on whatever screen you have available. His turn as un-dead undone(?), and the banter (Do people really say this word in real life? "Oh i just love your lively banter!" No) he doles out with the main cast, hilarious!

Vaughn Du Clark, owner of Max Rager (Spoilers, he is the reason why Liv is a zombie and Blaine!), king of douchebaggery! If you are a fan of the animated show Ultimate Spider-Man, then you may recognize him as the voice of the Goblin (I only watch it to make fun of adults that watch). Every time this wad of a man appears on the show, I just want Liv to go into full beast-mode and Chewbacca him. Yet, it is very entertaining to hate-watch, because I do not need a villain I can sympathize with all the time. Well, he also has a daughter Rita or Gilda depending on the person, and she's a word that I let your imagination come up with! She has a thing with this guy, and let me just say she is trouble for our pale hero.

The last two of baddies, are Blaine's father and Stacey Boss. Blaine has daddy issues, and with the first appearance of Angus, (awesome name and Spoilers, Blaine turned him into a zombie, completely justified) anyone with a brain(s) can see why Blaine turn out the way he did. Then the biggest of big bads, Stacey mother-adoring Boss, he has only been in a handful of episodes. He is not afraid of the police, or a certain ADA, he is a Danny Devito sized monster, in a show about actual monsters. He is the kingpin behind Utopium, and I am ever so excited to see what he does next!

The Main Cast (SPOILERS AHEAD)

How cool is that Batman shirt?

Liv, Clive, Rafi, and Major are the main components that drive this show. First, when will Clive find out about Liv's condition? I know this is a show but, come on man open your eyes. Major and Liv are the Buffy and Angel (reversed) in this scenario. I never would have thought about transmitting the zombie virus through sex. That is a complexity that lacks in other network shows ( I mean really oh zombie virus, deadlier than aids, what an add for abstinence.) . The show runners dedicated an arc to a prostitute who service (sexually, un-dead action, I know you got it, but just let it linger) other zombies, for brains (I know right)! I am going to go there, Major is creepy, necrophilia is wrong even if she is sorta alive. (Major needs to take a hint with her theme song, leather black jeans on, by any means on, pardon she getting her scream on, no not that one my bad! I Am All Ready Dead, take a hint Major.)

Oh Major, I would be pissed too, if I were to lie dying, oh let me die Liv, dammit let me die! So Liv turned Major into a zombie, no big right, I mean she has the cure (dramatic music and the look of betrayal) to give him. This whole season has been dedicated on showing how a human and a zombie cannot possibly live a normal life, for obvious fear of infection. Also Liv's mood alters from whatever brains she ingests that day (Are they making fun of the Myth of moody woman? Blaine never seemed different? Yes, her one boyfriend, forget it!). So we will wait to see if the cure is everlasting, and their love as well (cheesy with purpose).

Rafi and Clive are the supporting players, the unsung heroes of the walking dead. The chemistry that both of these actors have with Liv, (Rose McIver, say it with a New Zealand accent!) reminds me of the greatest show ever Buffy the Vampire Slayer, (highest compliment) Rafi is a medical examiner, and Clive Babineaux is a detective. The conversations between these two characters and Liv, is some of the best writing around. I could go on and on about all the plots, quirks, action, this show has to offer. If you're not sold all ready, then it is your lost!

Conclusion

Oh really Rafi, yeah rock on Liv!

I really love this show, I grew up on Buffy, and in my opinion this is the closest thing that we have to her. Olivia Moore is a woman that is trying to do her best, in a world that makes little sense. She cannot be with the one she loves, she loses herself at every meal, and in constant fear of losing control. Yet, she perseveres with hope of a cure, and a trusted confidant (Rafi). I have no clue on where this show is taking me, and I hope it continues that way! Thank you and please be reminded I write this for fun, so feel free to disagree!

iZombie season 2 returns on the CW after The Flash on January 12, 2016, and currently 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
